I've downloaded a couple of mods but when I try to install them i get "7 zip unspecified error". I'm pretty sure it's not a problem with the files themselves, and i've seen other people getting issues when downloading firefox, but thought you useful people may know how to get round this. I've tried downloading from ie and firefox, with av on and off, all to no avail... any ideas?

the mods i downloaded were balance of power and ultimate dominion mod 3...

Are they multi version?

if so you need to install this file first

I have Ultimate 5 mod installed but the B5 mod will not 1.) show up in the Dxwin menu and 2.) the mod itself hangs.

Can someone help me?

I am guessing you used the All in One RC4? if so uninstall mods and install each mod 1 at a time and see if that helps.

btw testing of the All in One RC4 has been postponed until this issue can be resolved and release of RC5.

Yes, I read what all of you stated here, followed to a T.

Is the B5 a stand alone mod? I noticed when I downloaded it a desktop shortcut appeared and when I clicked it the intro appears as normal and then it hangs but I hear the menu music. The Ultimate 5 mod was easy to install but I forget how to install the B5 mod. Such a noob!

also B5 was never completed and you should expect errors but in my experience game will load and play.

Well the B5 I downloaded was on my desktop so I naturally clicked it and it took me into the game. That's when the chaos started. There are other B5 versions? Where would I find these? Thanks for all the help!

if it took you into game that is only a shortcut and you already had B5 installed.

as for B5 missing from your DxWnd list
1. open DxWnd
2. single click any mod already on list
3. right click to display dropdown list
4. from list select duplicate
5. new entry will be at bottom of list
6. single click new entry
7. right click to display dropdown list
8. from list select modify
9. in new window you need to edit on main tab
10. "Name" change to B5
11. "path" browse for the B5 "trek.exe" default location is C:\botf\B5V2\trek.exe
12. "launch" browse for the B5 "trek.exe" default location is C:\botf\B5V2\trek.exe
13. click ok and test game
14. when you close DxWnd it will ask to save configuration click OK

temporally the All in One is unavailable. but both installers have same version of B5.

That did it! I can't thank you enough. Is this mod abandoned? If so, may I mod this?

For personal use, do what ever you want.

If you are truly interested in release a mod, I suggest starting from scratch (vanilla), but if you do use current B5 as base to your mod you should ask jigalypuff for permission.

I will certainly do that.
