Economic Intel (output type)

Economic Intel is one of BotF's output types and it's the standard output type of the Ferengi Commerce Authority.

Since it is named "economic intel" in the English version and "Wirtschaftsspionage" ("economic espionage") the German version, I did some testing to see whether this bonus would affect economic sabotage as well.

I diverted 50% intel to economic sabotage against the Klingons and tested three configurations:
1. no bonus
2. +1000% economic intel
3. +1000% sabotage total

After that, I tested espionage as well, using the same pattern as above.

The result was surprising: The "economic intel" bonus didn't do anything! Configurations 1 and 2 did equally well, while configuration 3 was significantly more effective than the others.


The funny thing is that I had already removed this bonus type in BoP (in favor of "credits empire-wide"). Now I was thinking about bringing it back (for a different building) if it would affect sabotage. But I guess this bonus type won't be seen for a long time now... ;)
