Re: BOTF All in One installer 2.0.0 (Released 7-10-2020)
Thanks Thunderchero,
I am using UCW large
It seems the romulans are invincible.
Their star bases destroy any size fleet in auto battle mode and manual unless H select Harry.
when i try to attack a system the population does not change on bombardment at all. the orbital batterys get destroyed though.
I have tried to edit the romulan buildings but UE gives me an error.
I do not have the same issues with other empires in the same game.
I did not have these issues in 1.0.1 that is whay i was hoping to go back to that.
thanks for your time.

as for editing you must use Edifice Patcher before and after editing due to the extended tech levels.
viewtopic.php?p=43415#p43415
as for bombardment issues you had same issues before.
as for Romulan starbase stats are basically the same as other races starbases, romulans bases have weaker hull than most races.
UCW had so little interest it was never completed or even tested much and I have no plans to do any further editing.

the patcher will not work for me. it says error unzipping.
i did have the bobardment issues before. i think its some building giving crazy modifiers or something. that is why I was hoping to edit it.
i never nticed the starbase issue before.
i never had any of this on 1.0.1
thanks for your efforts. i will just try another mod.

when do you get error extracting files or when running patcher?
you need to select install path of mod you intend to edit then just select patch button
patcher is setup to change selections automatically.
for editing with UE it will have "reset to tech levels 0 - 10 (for UE)" selected
and for game play it will have "allow building structures at level" the tech level will set correctly automatically
note; you must close Edifice Patcher before editing with UE then re-open it to re-set

hi Team,
just wondering what happened to "TOOLS" with the All In One Installer?
under Component Install, it shows DxWnd followed by each of the various mods
but I guess the Tools pack, including Ultimate Editor, etc would need to be separately installed?

Recently downloaded, and then uninstalled because I didn't like 1920x1020 for it's HUD or 1024x768 because the display appears stretched on fullscreen. I reinstalled every mod for 1366x768 which I liked, but clicking was unresponsive and I obviously I couldn't play. At that resolution it never true fullscreen and behaved like a window.
I never messed with any of the Dxwnd settings so i have no clue why it work. Any ideas?

It sounds like your system/video card dose not support 1366 x 768 (not surprised)Final Run wrote: ↑Mon Jul 19, 2021 9:00 pm Recently downloaded, and then uninstalled because I didn't like 1920x1020 for it's HUD or 1024x768 because the display appears stretched on fullscreen. here is how to check if your system support 1366 x 768
viewtopic.php?p=53092#p53092
other option is to run 1366 x 768 in windowed mode.

I checked, and yeah it wont support that res unfortunately, damn.
Well I guess I'll be running the game in windowed from now on. Thanks for pointer thunderchero!

Greetings!
I play my personal mod based on ECML for many many years. Now I wanted to install ECML on my new pc and used BOTF_All_in_One_2.0.0, but there is no option to install ECML. All mods have only small maps. How can I install ECML?

option 1
transfer the old folder (old version) to your new system
option 2
copy ecm folder to new folder (ecml) and edit as you want

ECML was dropped a long time ago (AI & turn time issues), but using UE and BotF-patcher you can edit the map size for your own taste.
Also you might want to check out the ECM 5 updates listed in this topic starting here: viewtopic.php?p=54606#p54606
Latest patches:

JeanLucPicard1 wasn't able to do so. Was this an end user error or is there an issue I'm not aware of?thunderchero wrote: ↑Sat Nov 20, 2021 8:57 amcopy ecm folder to new folder (ecml) and edit as you want
I don't know how many bugs is too many but that point is reached somewhere before however many in BotF is.

1. you would need to edit stbof.ini to current location.
2. new entry would need to be created for DxWnd for ECML
3. windows registries would also need to be created or it would never work, but it is not impossible to setup new registry.
4. trek.exe would need to be edited to new registry also.
