open "regedit.exe" in C:\windows folder.
find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microprose\Star Trek: UDM (64 Bit systems)
find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microprose\Star Trek: UDM (32 Bit systems)
select the "Star Trek: UDM" folder on left and right click, from menu select delete and confirm deletion.
note; you may need to run regedit.exe as administrator
then all in one will install UDM

Ah, I was having a nose around the registry but there was nothing under the Microprose folder when I found it, but I didn't look into the WOW6432Node folder. That fixed it - Thank you! Very much appreciated.thunderchero wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2017 12:36 pm open "regedit.exe" in C:\windows folder.

Hello new guy here on the board.
After years of playing and loving BOTF, I have decided to try some of the mods. So I downloaded the all in one. Per instructions, I deleted my old BOTF, and tried doing and Install. However, It is telling my I already have all of the Mods in the "All in One" installed. Yet I have never downloaded any sort of download prior to this attempt. Right now I am re downloading the file, thinking I might have had a corrupt download. If this does not work, does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you very much.

where does it say to delete old install, you should have used uninstaller.

Edit.
I found in my re-edit some files were not completely deleted. Was able to get past the point I was at before. Hopefully the install works

A few questions.
#1 (for the Dominion Mod from the all in one installer) Which attack missions give your ships the best chance for torpedo use? Some are common sense I know but others have left my torpedo launchers loaded.
#2 What changed to make intercepting enemy ships (and only catching 1 of them instead of all them) change from just minor races to the major races?

1# use charge or assault from what you describe it is a torpedo max distance issue so ships need to be closer to target.
2# this is due to limited/incomplete code changes made to allow 18 ship task force patch. minors ships (only when controlled by minors) are limited to single ship combat.
note: if you are getting single ship intercept against a major race fleet, please attach saved game since I have never noticed this behavior. but rarely use intercept myself.

It isn't currently happening that turn but has happened close to 10 times. I will save the turn the next time it comes up. Apologies.

Hello,
I recently returned again to BOTF and used the all in 1 installer to get the Ultimate Dominion mod. I was wonder what happened to Mentat's dominion war scenario saves? Are they no longer compatible? I remember they used to be part of the mod. Can anyone help?

Thanks Thunderchero. Is there anything stopping someone from trying to make a new set of scenario saves?
