I took the two battles for DS9 as my inspiration for the Starbase stats ;)

Reinstall with buildable minor ships option, NOT normal ship building :)

I love it so far

I'm playing it for quite some hours now and I love it. This is what BotF always should have been, IMHO.

no crashes so far and I'm nearly at turn 200. playing on XP SP2/GF 5200/driver ver. 93.71.

Playing the Federation I'm having a long term war with the Klingons (which I can handle) and some skirmishes with the Romulans. Constitution Refits and Mirandas are currently the back bone of my fleet and they are doing well against old D7s and Warbirds.

just thanx for your mod. Its what I always wanted for BotF. :D

Its good having the new ships and being able to work through the history of star trek. I still think it is massively lacking in the space battles. I think if you were to x2 all hull and shield values then it would make combat more interesting. As it is now no shields means instant death. Also I think the borg are insanely over powered and if they appear early in the game then it is game over. I attack them with a fleet of about 30 constitution class and they owned me in about 2 turns.

I once edited the ships in the vanilla and made all the ships have heaps more hull and shields. I also massively increased the ship costs so the AI didn't just fly around with 50 command class. You needed to build fleets with a few command and bulk it out with lesser ships. Otherwise you just went bankrupt.

One thing I would do is make sure you both have most resent download from the download section. since I allowed stardust to create his own installers (he was first person to do this) I found 1 error and fixed it since he has been inactive. But checking every code he edited would be next to impossible.

But sync errors mainly come from either edited or different version with same name from my experience. So both should use same source and be sure no editing has been done.

No editing, fresh download, I 'd be happy to test it again if anybody is willing...
