BOTF Web Game?

I remember reading back on the old BOTF 2 site that someone was developing a BOTF web-game. What ever happened to that?

I mean, i think that BOTF's playstyle can eaisly be adapted to the interwebs now, especially with HTML 4, DIV and CSS sheets, Javascript and libraries. Ikariam and ogame are prime examples of 4x games on the web.

And with flash, turn-based fleet battles (albiet on a 2d plane) are easily possible now.

Does anyone know what happened to it? Or was it a pipe dream?

check out the sections "Supremacy" and "Birth of Empires" seems there is more than one "BotF2"...

I saw that, but it's not quite what i was after, I remember those from the forums on botf2.armadafleetcommand.com, but there was another one, alligence or something, and it was purely web based version of BOTF.
