How cool is that, did not know this. I used to install manually lol. Thanks, am downloading right now. Oh my UM version is UM4 v1.0, think I will be in for a treat.

edit:
Installed and working, sad I do not have time to play right now but I will have to very very soon. At least it is installed and it starts up alright now thanks to you that is.

What files do I need to run "Ultimate Mod 5 v2.5 1024 (Updated 15/2/16)"?

simplest way would be to use the new "all in one" installer. This also could install 1366 x 768 if desired, plus retreat/evade CTD patch

or download and install main multi installer (you should already have this installed)

https://www.armadafleetcommand.com/get-f ... le_id=1958

then download and install Ultimate Mod 5 v2.5 1024

Anyone care to chime on the differences between Ultimate Mod 5 2.5 and Ultimate Dominion Mod III 3.0.1 ddb? I am used to the Dominion mod.

Ultimate mod installed and runs but it is too far to the left by like 1-2 inches. >.> The left side of the screen is cut off and the right side has a large black panel.

but it sounds like install error

be sure to uninstall older mod before running new version installer.

I used the one in all installer. Trying to install it a different way. When you say un-install older mods, do you mean of the same type of mod?

Tried installed Ultimate Mod 5. Install hob fix checked on all tries.
1024 x 768 released GUI (without and with Install large galaxy zoomed in view changes): all screens except opening video, offset to the left.
Install 1366 patch (cosmetic patch) (with Install large galaxy zoomed in view changes): nothing loaded on the screen except for the BotF cursor.

correct

1. does this happen on other mods?
2. for further help I would need some system info.

Nothing like this has happened with any other mod. This video problem also happened when I installed UM5 from its own file, instead of the combined installed.

have you installed any other mods lately?

your issue with UM5 sounds like a video driver issue? have you tried using DxWnd or are you already using DxWnd?

DxWnd,
description from DxWnd site;
"Windows hooker - intercepts system calls to make fullscreen programs running in a window, to support a better compatibility, to enhance video modes and to stretch timing. It is typically very useful to run old windows games."

but the reason it is so helpful for BOTF, is it will simulate the proper Direct X environment for BOTF. This is helpful for all newer operating system (xp, 7, 8, 8.1 and 10).

you need to keep in mind BOTF was developed on windows 98 and direct X 8, neither has been used in 15 years.

Wouldn't I be having the same problem in all the BOTF versions then?
