Does more food production equal faster growth?

Post by cleverwise »

I was curious if this mod supports faster growth with huge food production?

i think it is a general feature not mod specific; growth = growth% * (pop+food production)/2
so 1% growth with 100 pop and 300 food production would give you 1% * (100+300)/2 => +2 pop / turn
if you work only so many farms to feed your population i.e. 100 food then 1% * (100+100)/2 => +1 pop/turn

i am sure there is some rounding involved with not such pretty numbers but this is the general idea;

it took me 2 years to find that;

However, in practice i don't specially build extra farms just to increase the population growth; i just try to keep those i already have working even if it means i need to take from industry temporary.

Thanks. I was just wondering if that code was altered like the TT + Colony ship for non one turn terraforming.
