Source code petition

Re: Source code petition
I take it there was no progress with this?
Been playing the game an awful lot lately and despite it's age and all the problems, it is very addicting still, heh
Been trying to find out who owns the copyright to the code, but I presume it's now owned by "Interactive Game Group", also known as "Majesco Entertainment"
I'm wondering if it's worth contacting them for information?

Re: Source code petition
We already have a decompiled source code in the form of Quasar Donkey's IDA database.
The bugs are currently being worked on by him and Spock's Cuddly Tribble at the moment, Ive not seen Gowron for ages and DCER handles mostly the UE candy makes us Pakleds 'go'
Flocke is also working on a new combat engine for the game in the form of MPR++ which can be downloaded somewhere around here, I believe in the Modding Info area, if you wanna check that out. Its supposed to make combat not crash as much and also improve model quality (with the new Ogre mesh's that are being worked on by Thunderchero and a few other modelers, Dr. Breen and Anjel).
MPR++ is still in early beta testing, so go download it and report any bugs that you might find. If you dont, it will be your own fault when MPR++ is final released and it doesnt work for you
So yeah, basically we dont need their stinkin source code! Take THAT Atari! *flipping the bird*

Re: Source code petition
beside that nobody knows if the source code still exists. it could be on some drive/server/disk of any company in any basemant arount this world, not being read for years with nobody even knowing it's there.

Re: Source code petition
Sounds like you're describing a missing episode of "Doctor Who".
