I am not sure if you are aware but there is a social site called Nextdoor that is for neighborhoods. I have found it very easy to communicate with neighbors and have even saved some money. How? Well using the site I have organized a bunch of neighbors to get trees removed and have brought down all our individual costs dramatically. The work even involves a crane.
