Re: Why should AFC remain online?
Let's get down to basics. What will it cost to keep this site going?
Relevance is a post hoc phenomenon

Re: Why should AFC remain online?
Because the site is a "home" to return to and the web and the world would be poorer without it.
Plus: Closing this site we would not be better than Microprose and Hasbro who closed Botf itself on us.
This is Coracle_RSA_9 calling in now and then.
Sorry for the double post but I am really at home in the BOTF-Area rather than on Armada.

Re: Why should AFC remain online?
Without AFC, BOTF would be resigned to the history books. You're keeping its history alive.
Are you able to add a donation point to the forum to help keep it running?
Hope you're all doing well. Sorry I've not been around much, life has the habit of getting in the way of things.

Re: Why should AFC remain online?
Greetings all,
I too have alot to thank this site for, it helped extend the life of BotF well beyond, and even now I know some still play.
Others will always want to revisit the site every now and again, and it's a great place to to find the botf copy if anyone searchs this site is number 1 result.
Botf is a fantastic game always will be.
I play alot of Gal Civ 3 these days, even a star trek mod for it, its about as close as you get in modern times.
If anyone up for a chat find me on steam, user name- Cajee, email- RSE_Dissy@hotmail.com
I would be up for maybe trying one more online BotF game haha! a fare well to botf perhaps,
Kind regards,
RSE_Dissy

Hi there m8s !!!
seriously ?, because it has given us joy and still does, find out these game isn´t death at all, and it has extended it life time beyond the Unthought. This site it´s a stand that when you care about something anough, you can keep the flame as long as you want and with support of fellows companions, well the weight.

You gave me a scare yesterday with the crash, the existence of this thread combined with an e-mail telling me "Topic reply notification - "guess what happened?"" made me think you decided to shut down with no warning.

I visit this site for the forums for the specific BoTF mods and I visit this General Chat every once in a while. When I get a new computer, then I come here to download the multi-installed to get the glorious BoTF game and mods again. Even after all of these years, I consistently play it, lol
