Progress report,

All ship models have been added (101 models, 1159 files) all ship descriptions have also been edited for new models.

Some basic stats have been set, but still have many more stats to set/adjust before I will even be close to what I am looking for.

if anyone wants to look at ship stats spreadsheet I am working on, here it is (excel .xlsx document)

Hi Everyone,

After getting a little distracted on other projects, I found some time to get first set of ship stats added to mod. While I am sure they will be adjusted further later the basics are set for things that will not change; tech requirements, upgrades, speed, range, scan, cloak, build cost and maintenance. Next will be checking and adjusting scale of all models and hope to have that done by the end of the week.

After that will be my least favorite thing and most time consuming adding new structures.

Hi Everyone,

I have not forgotten about this mod, but I have had to limit my time spent on it. last night I spent 5 hours with UE moving all the structures for new structure layout.

here is new layout;
33 shared structures (11 needed created)
19 cardassian special (13 needed created)
26 cardassian main structures
19 terran special (11 needed created)
26 terran main structures
19 feringi special (12 needed created)
26 feringi main structures
19 klingon special (12 needed created)
26 klingon main structures
19 romulan special (11 needed created)
26 romulan main structures
30 original minors (7 needed created)
30 new minor (30 needed created)

Total 107 structures need to be created/edited So if you think of any ideas for new structures, keep the ideas coming

Many of the new structures will be limited by system requirements and political requirements. So not to clog up the energy screen.

I still need to add all the code for Extending Edifbnft.bst (new building types/bonuses) and Tech Level Bonus Factors (and any structure related code).
When using Bof_patcher it allows me to better keep track of my code changes :grin: So I have really added very little code so far to this mod.
This way it makes it easier to keep track of code that UE changes.
When I am done with this mod I hope to have every code change documented and with a patch for each code change.

Well after 3 attempts I am getting frustrated with UE. Everytime I set up structures, UE will not except 5 upgrades. I am able to set the upgrade list manually, but as soon as I make any other change UE will alter it back so Upgrades no longer display. :mad:

It is not a huge deal since UE does not recognize changes by EdificePatcher to allow structures above tech 10, but it will require a second step when using UE to view/edit mod before game play.

Hi Everyone,

I finally got all my code changes up to date, :smile:

I did make a small changes to structures. I am going to borrow an idea introduced by Galaxy mod and 30 structures will be used as image place holder for minor race info in diplomacy (same as majors). This will lower the the total new structures I will need to create.

The hard part will be finding race flag/icon images for all minors.

here is new list for structures
28 shared structures (6 needed created)
14 cardassian special (8 needed created)
26 cardassian main structures
14 terran special (6 needed created)
26 terran main structures
14 feringi special (7 needed created)
26 feringi main structures
14 klingon special (7 needed created)
26 klingon main structures

30 minor race place holders for race info (idea used by Galaxy mod)
30 original minors (7 needed created)
30 new minor (30 needed created)

Total 77 structures need to be created

Progress is slow, i try to get a couple new structures every couple days. I am currently working on minor structures. here are a few I added.

Zakdorn Weapon Facilities weapon research 20%
Yridian Trade guild % Income on Trade Route (Empire Wide) 20%
Vulcan P'jem Sanctuary % Security (Empire Wide) 25%
Xindi Councils Morale (Empire Wide) 1
Trill Protection Headquarters % Security, Espionage & Sabotage (Empire Wide) 30%
Darmok weapon probing center % Weapon Research (Empire Wide) 18%
Talarian Trading Post % Espionage & Sabotage (Empire Wide) 40%
Tholian Assembly % Security, Espionage & Sabotage (Empire Wide) 10%
Nausicaan Mustering Base % Ground Combat (Empire Wide) 20%

I have also added all the minor race insignia's for diplomacy info screen. (thank to Iceman allowing me to use some of Supremacy insignia's)

I still could use new structure suggestions, all I need is race, and bonus I will add other info. :wink:

Hey Thunderchero, way back in 2011 I suggested race structures and bonuses to Peter1981 for his TOS mod. And as far as I know that mod was never finished, so I see no reason you couldn't use any of my suggestions if you'd like.... viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1800&p=30279&hilit=mud+baths#p30279

Cheroni: "Commission on Political Traitors" to give an intel bonus.
Elasians: "Elasian Council of Nobles" to give a moral bonus.
Excalbians: "Excalbian construction facility" to give an industry bonus.
Orions: "Orion slave market" to give a moral bonus. (Since the Orion women sell themselves in order to influence their 'owners'.)
Scalosians: "Hyper-accelerated research facility" to give a research bonus.
Taureans: "Opto-aud" to give a intel bonus.
Tellarites: "Tellarite mud baths" to give a moral bonus.
Tiburonians: "Tiburonian Medical Agency" to give a research bonus.
Troyians: "Troyius Tribunal" to give a moral bonus.
Vaalians: "Fields of Gamma Trianguli VI" to give a food bonus.
Vians: "Energy Transfer Device" to give an energy bonus.
Zeons: "Zeon Resistance" to give an intel bonus.

Another potentially good, or at least interesting, thing about my suggestions is that I don't think several of those races have ever been included in mods. (Although I could be wrong on that point).
