From some comment somewhere I got that season 3 so far seems to be better than what was before. Though, I can't confirm that, yet. If anyone has some insights (spoiler free please ^^) feel free to share.

I enjoyed the first 2 seasons, but season 3 is excellent - by far the best season and it is more in line with what I expected Picard to be.

I caught up with Picard's Final Season, and so far, as I've watched seven episodes, I think (metaphorically speaking), that it's Trekker's porn.

Obviously has nothing to do with intercourse, but the Titan looks good, the updated CGI changelings, the fleet museum, details from all around of the older Trek series and movies for example.

But, as it always seems the first time I watch these Nutrek's (with the exception of SNW perhaps) is that they always seem to travel from one disaster to another, they are so bleak.
I know a rewatch later on will correct this feeling, as it did for the new Galactica, as then I thought that it's a great story.

...After watching episode nine, I guess that by taking the Enterprise-A the crew would have been guilty of blasbhemy

I personally didn't like any of the new trek. Last one I enjoyed was Star Trek Enterprise and previous series (Voy,DS9,Next)

It went in a new direction trying to get new eyes watching and it may have did that but it lost something I enjoyed and just cannot watch any of the new stuff.

To me they're still Star Trek, just different, and if there are new stories/series in that universe, then I'm not so picky about them, just the animated ones, I haven't gotten excited about them.
