Hi Everyone,
while testing I ran into the AI using a strike cruiser to build a starbase?
then a few turns later it is closer to being completed
have you seen this before?

In theory a cloaked TT can build a station. But this doesn't seem to be the case. I'd use F-11 to check this.
Or a glitch in shiplist.sst gave the strike cruiser function 09 (TT) instead of 03?
Is this a starbase or an outpost? Shoud be outpost (wrong name)?
And what's up with scanner range 5? And why isn't the strike cruiser cloaked?
Dunno what's going on there. Savegame edited (AI tasks corrupted)?

I don't know how many bugs is too many but that point is reached somewhere before however many in BotF is.

Re: have you seen this before?
well ship spying this was in a blackhole, also MUM has cloaked romulan TT's.
so maybe this combo did not allow me to see TT?
too late to use F11, and saved game was not edited.

An unmodded black hole affects only scan strength of the own and adjacent sectors i.e. doesn't matter in this case.
Your second picture shows scan strength 5 in the starbase sector (cursor position). Default is 30 to see cloaked ships.
Confess, you just wanted to test if we still pay attention....
But you should check the uncloaked romulan ships. Do you use cloack default fix for task forces? viewtopic.php?p=28058#p28058
Note the update is just an addition i.e. main fix still required when using this: viewtopic.php?p=30072#p30072

Nice. Twenty years ago (in my own BoP light mod) me too gave the romulan colony ships and TTs cloak ability - and I never regretted it.

no, I did not even notice scan strength and it just shows how memory fades with age on my part lolSpocks-cuddly-tribble wrote: ↑Sat Jul 03, 2021 12:08 pm Confess, you just wanted to test if we still pay attention....
