Need Help understanding how the mods work?

I've got the all in one installer working fine, but just so I understand correctly, I can only use 1 mod at once, (so if I'm on Ultimate Mod I can't be running another at the same time correct?)

Furthermore I started a new game of Ultimate Mod, all my versions are up to date, however it's running incredibly slow right out of the gate, my pc is a beast before you ask. More than sufficient for this game. Can anyone assist? UM shouldn't be dragging its heels on Turn 1. For more detail the mouse curser is sluggish, the menus take a while to boot and the screens take too long to change.

I see what you mean, I always had DXWnd but now I realise I've got to use it to launch, problem solved, it's a shame we can't combine mods though, but I'm going to have a hell of a lot of fun nonetheless! Thanks!
