There's a new release available for download!
Lots of fixes and enhancements.

The economy has been improved to BotF style.
Agents/Personnel are now unlocked for all empires (though some polish is still needed).
New Game Options implemented: Random/Canon homequadrants (only for empires though, not minors yet), Research Rate.
Ships and Stations of minors are transfered when minor is membered by na empire (there's still an issue with those ships not engaging other fleets when on their own).
Lots of UI fixes and improvements.
A few crashes fixed.
Fuel range extension deactivated.
Combat fixes and improvements.

Also, it's now possible to set the Founders as the colonizing race for the Dominion, instead of the Jem'Hadar. The release still has the J'H as the colonizing race, I would appreciate any feedback about playability with the Founders as colonizers - as it is, they can only colonize Rogue planets (in Nebulae), which are scarce, relying mostly on building stations for range extension and conquest, and membering minors.
I can make the necessary changes to the data files and post them here if anyone is interested in testing this. Post here if so, please.

Have fun, and any feedback is much appreciated!

Only created an account on these boards to say thank you to you all for keeping this game alive! I'd offer my services, but I'm afraid without artistic talent or coding skills, I fear I'm rather superfluous. Can't wait for the next update :)

Sorry, only saw this question now.
Right now all you can do is assign them to another civ as an envoy. In the diplomacy screen, select a civ (minor or empire) and click the envoy button; you can then select which agente to assign to that particular civ.
They only have an aesthetic effect right now. But eventually they'll affect relations.

Hi Aremay, welcome to the boards.
We still need descriptions for the Klingon and Dominion ships, and any feedback is very much appreciated (namely on ships stats, minors buildings, etc).
Glad to see that there's still interest in the game!

Thank you Iceman! Maybe when I'm done with this current rush of work, I'll look at writing up some descriptions. Do you have any parameters or advice for doing this, or somewhere to find them? :)

Nope, not really. You can look at the descriptions of the ships for the other races for inspiration, but whatever you feel is descriptive is good.
The texts can be found in
\Resources\Data\TextDatabase.xml

Dominion: lines 4218~4437
Klingons: lines 5288~5537
(both construction ships alerady have descriptions)

Minors' ships also don't have descriptions yet, but those are secondary to the empires'.
lines 8259+

Thanks!

BTW, Overlord's diplomacy (rejection of proposals without the proper Regard level) was fixed and re-enabled, with a few tweaks - feedback on this would be appreciated.

Tracing's AI improvement (empire AI scouts doing some exploring) was also included.

Some tweaks to galaxy generation were made, and the Agent pool was randomized.
