Today I got a battle related error, just before battle conclusion. It happened 3 times in two different battles in the same, repeated turn.

Anyway I found something else - in the screenshot below the system population is 265, but I get 135 counting up all planet population. It affect some systems, but not all of them.
You mean 225?
Found the issue, it only happens in non-Terran races. Will fix. Thanks!

I think I might know what it is related to, will check.

Just tobe sure, was this the turn 84 save where a Dominion Scout was attacking your Transwarp Hub? That one I fixed sometime ago, yes.

Do you have a savegame where I can check what the issue is? Thx!

Here is the last save causing errors:
SP Borg Huge Irregular 160.zip

I get the errors in the Strobel  system or after redirecting a Probe to sector 34,22 or to sector 38,19.

Yes, that one.

Fixed that crash, and uploaded a new patch with a few more fixes, mostly related to the Borg.

Next I'll probably disallow building transwarp hubs in anomalies.

How is that issue with the AI declaring war too easily? Still stands?

I confirm that everything works OK after the last patch.
However changes in the AI war declaration willingness have to wait for a new and quite advanced game.

I see that it is harder for the Borg to develop now, mainly because of deuterium limits. But it would also depend on number of assimilated systems.

Ah, so it only happens in the late game?
The reason might be that it depends (among other things) on (relative) military strength.

I don't think there were any changes in that regard. Maybe you're just using Transwarp Hubs more? Those drain a LOT of deuterium.

Hi, there is still a small issue with the Borg population:

Next turn the population was reduced to 135.

Just in time when I was about to release a new patch with the fixes to random events.
Can you check this issue with the new patch please?
Thanks!

I tried out the new recent patch and unless I'm missing something. It seems like I can no longer queue facility upgrades in my systems anymore. I now have to select one upgrade wait for it to finish then select the next one and when you have a lot of new colonies to upgrade it starts it increase the amount of micro management that has to be done. Aside from that the update seems like the AI is more active now then it was in previous iterations.

Hi Hebrewhammer, welcome to the forums!

Regarding your issue, I guess you mean upgrades for the same type of output? Like queuing farm upgrade to level 5, farm upgrade to level 6, etc? That has never been possible in the game, there was no change in that regard. You can queue upgrades for other production types though.
Or do you mean somethig else?

And yes, the AI is much more active now, and playing a bit smarter. It's not yet at the level of a human player ofc, but it'll get there eventually.

Hi Hebrewhammer,
It sounds that a change of the Starting Facilities into 'Best' in the game parameters would save some of your micromanagement.

Appreciate the quick reply. I was however pointing out that a system may have level 5 upgrades for farms, manufacturing and power. However if i put them all in the queue after the turn processes the upgrades waiting in the queue disappear. I've also noticed that the AI now like to snipe a system that I have terraformed, I finished a system and the next turn I colonized the system there was also a dominion colony ship there as well. I guess we both decided to colonize the system and the dominion won the roll and colonized before my ship could in that same turn.

Are you sure? That's not what I'm getting.
A facility upgrade should only disappear from the queue if/when all the facilities of its type are removed (destroyed, scrapped, ...).

I've also noticed that the AI now like to snipe a system that I have terraformed, I finished a system and the next turn I colonized the system there was also a dominion colony ship there as well. I guess we both decided to colonize the system and the dominion won the roll and colonized before my ship could in that same turn.
That's not intentional. Most likely when the colony ship started its movement the civ could not detect your colony ship (no scan info).
As for winning the roll, Dominion colony ships are armed, so they'll have the advantage in colonization (Klingons too). If both were unarmed, then a roll would decide, yes. Sometimes it pays off to send an armed escort
