Rebel factions do not currently have a Race Info text in the diplomacy screen. We can use the parent empire's, but it would probably be more interesting to write some different texts that reflect the rebel state :?:
If so, anyone up for the task of writing them :?: :mrgreen:

Should we also have different race images and insignias :?:

Options for text 2:
Order has been restored
Peace has been restored
Rebel leaders have been slain (captured? lame!)
Opposition has been eliminated
Insurgents have been slain
Populace has been pacified
Streets are returning to normal


Btw, I love that you added the colony inhabitants' name to the colony page. I reference it all the time. Thank you!

I've been thinking of also adding some way (button, link, hotkey) to return to the galaxy map, centered on the colony's sector. Sometimes I need to know where a particular colony is located - to build a shipyard or a scanner, mostly.

Making this message navigate to the colony screen for the system would be really helpful.

I've been thinking of also adding some way (button, link, hotkey) to return to the galaxy map, centered on the colony's sector. Sometimes I need to know where a particular colony is located - to build a shipyard or a scanner, mostly.

I'd love some sort of mini-map in a corner of the colony screen, so I could see where the rough position of the system. Even just 4 boxes (quadrants) with dots for known systems and with this system highlighted would be great. That said, hitting cancel returns to the galaxy map, centered on the system, so this hasn't been a huge need.

You mean Escape? Or F1, which does the same. No, it returns to the galaxy map but remains in the previously selected sector; you probably double-clicked on a SitRep to get to the colony screen, which also navigates to the sector, so when you hit Escape you get back to the colony's sector. But if you select another colony via the pull-down selector, hitting Escape will take you to the original colony's sector, not the new one.

A minimap would be great, yes. It's in my wish list too. :wink:

I would be happy to! Couple of questions to help me out:

1. can you share the list of values for {0}? just want to confirm the grammar as "The Klingons has started ..." isn't right.

2. can you tell me what "[f {{HeaderTextBrush}}]{0}[/]" does? I've done some Java (and C/C++) programming at one point in my life, but this doesn't ring any bells for me.

3. Is English the only localization right now? I know enough French to be dangerous (and enough Google translate to be absolutely deadly! :lol: )

4. Is there an existing list of leader titles, eg. Praetor for Roms, President for Feds, etc. that I could use to address the player in these messages. If not and you're open to adding this, I can provide some suggestions. If no to both, no worries.

It should be either Klingons etc (ShortName) or Klingon Empire etc (LongName), and it should be easy to identify which: if it reads something like "The {0} has..." it should be the LongName, if it reads "The {0} have..." it should be the ShortName.

That's just some formatting for the text, the string {0} will be displayed in a different color.

:lol: Yes, right now we only have english localization, but any others are welcome!

There isn't such a list, no. You're free to use whatever you want. Errr, within ST canon, I mean :twisted:
