A couple of quick observations:

Capella doesn't look much like what you see in Memory Alpha - the greenish hue I mean. The texture does look good for Halka, with the Orchid atmosphere though ;)

Aldea looks a bit odd, with the green sections, again not much like what you see in MA.

We obviously don't need textures for every homewolrd in the game, but of those we don't have yet, I'd go with Ocampa, Sheliak, Vaadwaur (mostly to differentiate them from default textures).

Textures should look good both in the starmap and in the system assault screen. Most of them do, there were a couple of notes I had taken but I can't recall them right now (Axanar being somewhat dark in the SAS? can't recall). Some I haven't checked yet.

The Capella IV I posted was designed from the Star Trek: Star Charts Atlas not MA. The Capella IV image on MA is from TOS new CGI enhanced revision.I guess either would be considered canon. I have no issues of changing it up just let me know which you rather have in the game. If you want to use the image for Halka that is great also


I personally think giving all 183 minors their home worlds would be cool, but it would take time. ( I can normally create about 5 to 10 textures a weekend depending on other projects I'm doing.) I don't mind putting the time in for them, if we want to consider adding them.

I added a Ocampa texture. some I have notice some of the textures are not overlaying correctly so I'm going to look into what's up with them

My observation about Capella was mostly due to me having set it with a blue atmosphere (being a terran planet), and it looking kind of weird (contrasting with the green hue). I'm ok with either version, it's not really all that relevant, as long as it looks good ;)

Notice that some of the minors we have race pics for are not actually in the game, like the Angelians (I say this because you made a texture for Angel I) and maybe a couple of others. The pics are there because, well, just because... and they might be integrated into the game, if they can be made to have an interesting effect (and we get at least one building for them). Some of the minors presently in the game don't really have much to offer... I'm looking at the Alsaurians right now, I'm going to change their building because frankly, the current one always bothered me.

Ocampa looks good, I'll try it in-game as soon as I can.
I tried all the others, and AcamarIII looks a bit dark in the SAS and I'm not sure about the clouds, DenebIV and AngosiaIII and Algol could probably use some more definition in the contours of the continents, but all of this is not very relevant, the textures are really cool! I don't much like Aldea, but that's probably just me ;)
Please don't take this as criticism, it's just an opinion. You've done a great job, and keep those textures coming!

We could also use Antede III I think, BTW.

None taken, Its all a process and I don't mind making changing where there its needed. I can toss a overlay on AcamarIII to lighten it up I have made a number of changes to some images to update the game's appearance I'll attach a side by side to soon to see if we want them added to the game.

Ocampa and Acamar look good. Havent tried the stars yet.
The Title image is nice, but the menu screen overlaps the last 2 letters, CY. I also liked the font you used in the previous version for Star Trek better,it looked more trekkish.

I would like to introduce more Terran class planet textures. other than just 3 to give the game more aesthetically pleasing. Is this something we can do with minor coding for the random planet generating?

This release will have, among other things, more random events. And some more interesting than Religious Holiday :D
We could use some sound fx to go with them though, same style as:
Resources\SoundFX\ScriptedEvents\ReligiousHoliday.wma

Anyone want to have a go at making those sound files?
Here's what's implemented so far:

Earthquake (structures destroyed, population killed)
Comet Strike (one planet turns to asteroids)
Plague (population killed)
Donation (gain credits)
Embezzlement (lose credits)
Solar Flare (all buildings and orbital batteries deactivated, planetary shield and station's shields depleted)
Supernova (system destroyed and turned into a neutron star - or Black Hole?)
Asteroid Impact (structures destroyed, population killed, one planet turns to Barren - or Arctic?)

I'll try to add a few more before release, which should be soon.

Suggestions are welcome of course, as always.

I made a couple "newer" images for the game. I wasn't 100% satisfied with the black-hole or worm-hole, so I made new ones. I'll upload the new textures to the bucket.
