Detailed description of your issue
Using ZeroTier to create a virtual network between two machines. Can ping each other just fine, can see a LAN game in the list when attempting to connect, but get "connection error" when trying to connect.
Any ideas?

Re: LAN connection issue
most common mistake would be install location.
if install location has a "space" in the location this will give connection error. example C:\program files\games\botf\vanilla (this would fail to connect)

Re: LAN connection issue
Thought of that before installing, actually, from reading comments here. installed in d:\botf currently. other machine is c:\botf

Re: LAN connection issue
not sure why you are using "ZeroTier" or how it allows connections. but if both use the same router this post might help.

Re: LAN connection issue
Using zerotier as a virtual lan, computers are not in the same location. I'll look into that article tho.
Edit: yes we are following those instructions exactly... Still getting the "connection error" message. Will try Hamachi and then this weekend in the same room if that doesn't work.
