Mouse Mapping alignment

Post by rayza77 »

OS: Win 10 Home 64-bit
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3500U
Graphics card: Radeon Vega 8 Mobile

The mouse mapping seems to be a little off on all menus and settings interfaces. I have to click either above or above and left of the button.

It might be :
Are you using magnification on windows?, I had that problem a year ago.
Returning to 100% magnification fixed the problem.
Impress the Empress.

I am guessing this only happens when playing BOTF?

if so what resolution did you install

did you install "tools" if so did you select windowed or fullscreen Dxwnd?

what is you laptop max resolution and does your laptop support installed resolution.

Yes. Only happens when playing BOTF.

My computer resolution is 1920 x 1080.

I installed the 1920 x 1080 patch but looks like it didn't take as it doesn't take up the full screen when I run it.

I selected fullscreen Dxwnd.

do you have dual/multi monitor setup?

post a screen shot so I can see how much is displayed

to check if resolution is supported;

select windows "settings"
in new window select "system"
in new window stay on default tab of "display" select "advanced display settings" at bottom of page.
in new window at bottom select "advanced adapter properties for display 1"
in properties window select "list all modes"
scroll though list and only install resolution option listed.

what you have displayed is 1366 x 768 install. 1080 patch did not install correctly or at all.

so I would just suggest you use the 2.0.0 beta it was just released yesterday for testing, but so far have seen no issues. And has 1920 x 1080 part of installer.

I managed to get it working. Turns out my display scaling was over 100%. Once I switched it back it was fine. Thanks for your help.

that is 1366 x 768, 1920 x 1080 would look like this

Just a note,

when you plan on using the 1080 patch you should install the 800 x 600 version of the installer then apply the 1080 patch.

there is a chance some of the images might be the incorrect size from 1366 install. Or increase install size unnecessarily.

this is why the 1920 x 1080 is being included as part of the all in one installer.

OK thx.

I have a question about the Armada board. Does it not use the same login details as BOTF? Do I have to register again? Coz I can't access it with the same login info.
