Birth of the Federation

So I installed the game using the latest Installer and the game runs perfectly fine on the Profile "Everyone's Access" where it was initially installed. However, when I create a new Local Profile in Windows 10 or add a Microsoft Account to Windows 10 the game does not load with the shortcuts in those new Profiles. The game just seems to crash or do nothing at all. What do I need to do to get those shortcuts working in the other Profiles?

The shortcuts use a command line to start DxWnd before loading game, so you would need to copy and paste path from "Everyone's Access" shortcut to new shortcut.

here is an example of vanilla windowed command line. (yours may vary depending on selected options during install)
target:
C:\botf\tools\dxwnd_windowed\dxwnd.exe /R:1

start in:
C:\botf\Tools\dxwnd_windowed

Yup! Those shortcuts appear under the Public Desktop which is what causes them to appear on other Profiles.The game loads from one Profile, but not from another? It makes no sense. I shouldn't have to remake the shortcuts in each Profile.

if the shortcuts have correct path, it might be a permission issue.

DxWnd needs to be ran as administrator when in other profiles.

Thank you Thunderchero for your response. I can confirm that by right-clicking and choosing Run As Administrator... that the game now successfully runs.
