Missing Graphics

Post by CyberFoxZA01 »

Hi

I installed Botf and did not know what to do. Noticed there where no tutorial saves. So i downloaded the original Star Trek: Birth of the federation, but could not get it to work properly. So I installed it.

When I launched Botf Vanilla it displayed this graphics. Cant post picture?

But it is missing all the frames in both Vanilla and All Ages Mod.

I uninstalled and reinstalled twice, rebooted my pc, but problem persist.

Help pls.

I will guess without image,
to post image in reply page and below submit button you can use "attachments" tab to add a "jpg" from your system.

1. use this download link for latest versions.
viewtopic.php?p=58537#p58537

2. check "How to check "Windows scale" setting"
viewtopic.php?p=53094#p53094

3. check "How to check if resolution is supported by BOTF" this mainly applies if 1366 x 768 was installed.

Hi

Sorry I was in a rush when i posted that msg.(I was gonna have a power outage).

The thing is it worked (at 1920 x 1080 resolution) before I installed the original Star Trek: Birth of the federation. So all went wrong after that.

I am using latest version of BOTF.
Windows Scaling is Set to 100%.
Sill can't attach screenshot Image
I put screen shot on my google drive - not sure if it's gonna work.

Just click BOTF Screenshot

Thanks

that is normal for 1920 x 1080, 1080 is a generic GUI due to image sizes.

Sorry for wasting your time. I reinstalled with 1366x768 and the 'frames' where there. I must have been confused with the installations. Sorry

Is there anyway to fix this in 1920x1080 Res?

and what mod would you suggest for a beginner.

Pls and thanks

yes but would take time and would increase install size by almost 3 times current.

impossible to answer without knowing what type of game you want to play.
from top 10

original style with ECM being most difficult.
Birth of the Federation (By Microprose)
Balance of Power (by Gowron)
Error Correction Mod (by Spocks-cuddly-tribble)

the following mods have major changes in game play and difficulty. (new races and more ships) with slower turn processing.
Ultimate Dominion Mod (by siggi and thunderchero)
Mirror Universe Mod (by thunderchero)
All the Ages Mod (by stardust)
Ultimate Mod 5 (by Dafedz)
UnCivil Wars Mod (by thunderchero)
Galaxies Mod (by Tethys)

original style but balanced for MP game play
Fluid's multi player Mod (by Sir Fluid Hat)

ouch. That's bad

Mostly I'm going to play single player games(for now)
So think for now just stick to Vanilla until I know what I'm doing
after that I'll try Fluid's multi player Mod (by Sir Fluid Hat)

Thank you very much for all your help, much appreciated.
