Re: ST:BotF Galaxies MOD (Release v0.2.8)
It took ages to terraform. But the system had an M-type and some other planets. It was viable in itself and got huge with this 'planet'.
Only drawback was that it was in the corner of the map far away from action.
Regarding 'skipping' systems:
You skip...? Why would you? Why would anybody? How can you? That's... umm... hillarious!
I once played UDM or AAM and one system got cleaned by a Nova around turn 40. For the next 300 turns I saw it whenever I centered on Sol and always got nervous from the yellowish system name (instead of Fed-blue).
I wouldn't reach what I could call an 'imperial age' without controlling at least hundred systems. It's called the United Federation of Planets and not the 'Somewhat Loosely Affiliated Colletion of some Systems' after all...
I'm looking forward to the next release and of corse to final release. What do you think? Around christmas?

Ehh... Wait!
That's three years after the apocalypse. Which means that you are on the list of people who'll get rescued.
Ha! Busted!

I have to push this release back to tomorrow, I won't be able to add the replacement ships tonight like I wanted to. Hopefully it will get done tomorrow

Re: ST:BotF Galaxies MOD (Release v0.2.8)
Instead of 'replacement ships' it should be 'additional ships'...
Why?
Because there can't be enough of them... *hrrhrr*
Regarding the next release: Don't worry. As long as you don't need as llong as Blizzard from version to version its fine with me. And since I like your work I'd probably threaten to bite anybody who gets impolite. (<- See? Teeth!)

Im working on it now. Just getting ships list moved a bit to make Cardassians first, but there will still be issues needing to be resolved with the ships list.

Re: ST:BotF Galaxies MOD (Release v0.2.9) UPDATE
Goota ask kinda dumbly:
Is there anything else to do to uninstall the previous version than deleting the complete GALM-folder including the folder itself?
€dit: Uhm...
And is 0.2.8 the right (new) version? Since I have exactly this version number already...

Re: ST:BotF Galaxies MOD (Release v0.2.9) UPDATE
Latest version includes Open Borders Mod (thanks SCT and Tc), a few new ship models for the Cardassians (work in progress), Energy Screen Mod (thanks QD and Tc), lower AI to player demands (so that they do not drain your currency if you need to be on their 'good side'. Thanks Gowron [I think ]), and I think a few other things that I cant remember

The new version is NOT COMPATIBLE with ANY SAVE games. Uninstall of old previous versions will be needed!

Hi Tethys!
I just uninstalled the old version... downloaded the new release, and it's telling me some of the source files are corrupt.

Re: ST:BotF Galaxies MOD (Release v0.2.9) UPDATE
Apparently Thunderchero is having trouble as well, Im thinking since the power went out here mid upload, I decided to give the resume upload a try (on 4shared). If I can verify that the original installer works and this one is corrupt, I will reupload.
Sorry bout that guys, this always seems to happen every time I want to release...

Re: ST:BotF Galaxies MOD (Release v0.2.9) UPDATE
Hi. Bad news. The latest version multi installer has a ship with invalid phasers (causing crashes in combat), which is also hidden from the ship slots (this has happened before, but I believe I have fixed it this time). The ship in question is the Romulan Escort (available at Tech 1). Simply changing the ship graphic in UE should solve the problem as a temp solution, however a new multi installer is already being uploaded and will be available in an hour or so. Sorry about this guys, but I think it's a problem with how UE determines which files are modded and which ones aren't. Have to look more into it.
