why are you using any of these programs? Use UE to edit stats.rawsy wrote:i have tried winzip winrar and 7zip but the game just hangs everytime i do anything

Re: help modding ucw
its been a while, i was using an older editor .
the defiant stats dont seem that overkill really am i missing somthing?
also i was trying to rezip the stbof.res file in "store" so it would speed things up a bit, i couldnt do this as i used to be able to. seems things have changed since i last played around with this game.
many thanks

Re: help modding ucw
modern zip programs use better compression by now that is not supported by botf.
not sure on defiant but it's a damn good ship as we know from the show.
instead of rezip maybe just unzip, I read that works, or was it to compress with no compression applied?

At first I thought it might have been the "GalaxyII 640 points beam bug" but no the Galaxy II still has that.rawsy wrote:the defiant stats dont seem that overkill really am i missing somthing?

Re: help modding ucw
cheers guys. i have lessened the sheilds on the defiant and that seems a little more balanced now.
i thought i had an issue with the a.i not building ships but it was just the intel screen saying that i had more ships than everyone when i clearly haddent? is that a knon bug? or just a quirk of the ucw mod??
cheers

Re: help modding ucw
if it your defiant had too much agility, or too much shield regeneration it might become a very tough cookie; try to compare the stats with ships of the same tier; the stats should be higher (i prefer) but not by much.
