Hello there im willing to understand the hex editor now in the 2 topics posted I went to the go to function and the code came up. what I want to do is add 30 mass replicators and 30 farms 30 plasma reactors and finaly 30 databanks please can you provide with the codes 1by1 telling me how to go to that code number and change this I want to use it on a normal colony ship please note im using the udm 3 mod so some files maybe different..also i cant find the shiplist.sst file so i think its somethink different

pal, you want to edit the structures you get by colonisation when forming a fresh colony if I got that right
I'm not into this, never did this before, but when you provide a link to the topic you're talking on I'm sure I can help
further when doing things first time it's always good to try on vanilla first as all the hex and asm documentation on afc is for vanilla botf. disregarding this you might easily drive into patches where discription is conflicting with the mod
and before I spend my effort on this, please tell what you've tried and what went wrong

At the moment I do not have my files with me, maybe Dafedz can post his patch if he has one for colonies.

I'm sorry I can't really help here. I didn't patch anything for colonies or colony ships with UM5.
