An easy question : Is there a limit to the number of stellar objects?

I have now been experimenting with those new map sizes and it seems that on that largest map size with irregular setting it doesn`t generate enough stars.

I tried with 5000 yesterday, and with 10000 just a minute ago, had to do some namehunting btw. ;) But the result is the same, it is too sparse.

The small map has 500 stars and medium 3000, and they both have almost perfect densities, I mean you don`t have to build a whole lot of outposts to get to somewhere.

Density setting of irregular galaxies is 1, i have over 10000 names on the list and I have disabled the other objects except the stars
(the stellar object setting is 1).

Might there be a limit setting somewhere in the trek.exe?

Does the very wise and helpful thunderchero or someone know?

This was the key :

Remember that old topic about Galaxy Control Values?
At position
0x17D568
there's a value controlling the Galactic Density. It's 500 by default. Increasing it with the above reference values staying at their defaults did not seem to do anything, but now we have higher reference values. So let's just set the Galactic Density to some astronomically high number and see what happens.

I changed it to 5000 at last, and then :

Map size (Sectors) [Stellar objects]
Large (25208) [2500]
Medium (11193) [1000]
Small (3238) [300]

Now they have all roughly the same density.
