The updated multi installer files are ready.

Hi Everyone,

With this post I will try to explain all about the new files that are now available.

These new installers will setup multi installs of BOTF on your system. That are all playable without uninstalling then reinstalling mods when you want to play a differant mod.

All patches are already part of multi main installer.

These file will also reduce the chance of corupt installation when installing mods when user has edited main install.

here is an example of my desktop and start menu.

Main installer "1.0.2"

This file is required before installation of mods.

This file must be installed before installing any mod.

All files are in download section

what does hades 2.2 do and how do i add it to each mod?

Hades 2.2 is an improved graphic engine for tatical combat.

It will also decrease tatical combat crashes.

but this can only be used if it is compatable with your video card

know cards with problem with hades:
8800 series almost all of them
also have seen some laptop video cards that were not compitable.
I am sure there are others.

If you are not sure I suggest adding it to one of the mods and play for awhile and have a few battles if problem occur uninstall mod and reinstall without hades 2.2.

to install run Hades_2.2.exe when asked select "install path" of main game (default C:\BOTF) or for mod like Balance of power 1.1 english (default C:\BOTF\BOPE) ect for other mods.

NOTE: to uninstall hades 2.2
Main game or mod must be uninstalled If installed to wrong path just delete files no reg are set by this installer. and has no uninstaller.

Only time will tell as far as how many people will use multi.

as far as sync errors 1.0.2 original game will inter face with any other version and should have no more sync error than before.

1.0.3 and all other mod can only be used in warzone or direct ip in other room of warzone til botf room is altered for mods and all players must be using multi installer.

been using ew and gameranger today and i keep getting exemption break point again. not had them since over 2 years when i patched up then from this sight but yeasterday got all these new multis and now today there back while playing multi

any ideas?

I don't think I have ever gotten that error.

could you give some info on what is installed?
1.0.2 must be installed first

Multi BOTF 1.0.2 English German

what mod or if it was main installer when you got error.
operating system, video card, and system specs

yea i went through the order as i should have. the excemption break point was an error i would get when i first downloaded the game many years ago. then someone here pointed out a patch of sorts and it cleared it. never had it since yesterday in vanilla 1.0.3 on multi. so dont know why its here again.

Will games play without error in single player?
is 1.0.3 only version with this error?
what patch fixed your problem last time?
what operating system are you using?
if 1.0.3 only have you tried reinstalling?

I do want to fix this problem. Just no one else seems to have had same problem.

Thunder...

I recently had to wipe clean and re-install everything on the PC.

I have loaded Multi botf 1.0.2 english german.

It installed ok and seemed to be ok till i boot and I get a black screen. This happened to me previously when trying to install but only with the mods and not the 1.0.2 as that ran fine before.

Any idea what to do?

The black screen seems to be related to the video playback (after aborting the intro).
Just swap to windows and back to game or move mouse a little and select a button that might flicker as it's on my laptop. Then botf should refresh the grafic buffer and all should be fine again.
Another solution should be removing the video codec dll from botf folder.

Unfortunately no joy im afraid...

I switch to windows and just get toolbar but screen stays black and i have to right click close,then end now etc... so it crashes rather than switch screen...

The codec dll?? Can you elaborate a bit?
