This will give you an advantage....

Look at Nemesis when Shinzon "spelling bad today" Thinks Picard will surrender, and Picard rams him. Do the same, Pick your monitor up and bash it over his head... lol :)

If that does not work, do the unexpected.

Just a plain hammer's tempting right now, Ruthless... if i am to play this tourney it's not going to be on my pc, bloody router locked my pc out of the network after sorting the ports out again...

i'll have one more go, this time on my partner's pc (it's connected to the modem) if that doesn't work...all I can say is i'm glad i don't have a cat

that said, my opponent hasn't replied to my pm yet, so i've still got time :D

Quick question.

Would it not be better to have 5 matches for the second round? Perhaps not, because then it would be two matches and one bye straight to the final (which never looks good). But the current way, there's a delay for the majority of players while only two matches are happening. And it kind of sucks for the players in those two matches, having an extra leg on the ladder.

Since I can't really come up with anything better, I guess it's a moot point, and I'm just whining now, since I'm one of the players with the extra bracket. ;)

But truthfully, is there another way that makes sense that I'm not seeing, without bying to the final? You usually want to bye as few people as possible, but this has over half the players getting a bye in one round.

The only other way to do this is to have a 5 way fight out for the final, and that leaves 2 people at a big disadvantage (feds/fereng)

a 5 way final....now that could be interesting :)
assign a number for each race and get the combatants to draw lots...if they get a race that they don't usually play with....well it's a true test of a champion if they can overcome such adversities.

feds and fergs aren't that bad if you know how to get the most out of them.

thing is though, doesn't the potential for crashes go up the more players you have in an MP game?

The crash issue is a big one, how often do we see crashes between 2 players, Imagine how frequent it will be be with 5.

The other issue is timing, how do you manage to get 5 people from around the world to come together and be able to spend several hours in warzone?

I think that after Season 1 has been finished, we should arrange some 5 way games, to see how they handle, winning not be the main aim, but to test how feasable they would be in a tournament setting. If they work, we could incorporate them into Season 2.

That wouldn't be interesting at all. Maybe for a fun game, but certainly not for a tournmant and certainly not a final in a tournament. 2v2 yes, but odd numbers no.

This is the main reason why it was left out of Season 1.

But as I said at the start, Season 2 will be changed based on feedback on this season.

I wanted this tournament to be 2vs2. Maybe we could try it for the next one, 2vs2 are the most enjoyable games I find.

What I would suggest is for you to try out these Ideas in warzone with as many players as you can find, If you can prove to everyone that they are feasable, It will be alot easier to get the community to support it.
