very very weird. i can't get wz or, in fact, SP game mode to start large BOP mod... just won't start... i reinstalled, no go... weird. something corrupted in the main installer??

didn't plan to install it right now, but check your registry:
start->execute type "regedit" enter
registry editor should pop up
look what's under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SOFTWARE->Microsoft->DirectPlay->Applications and compare bop large to other working installs
especially check if CurrentDirectory and Path is set right

Edit: wait, you say SP doesn't work either, than why bother with wz?
in that case, beside stbof.ini I only know to check the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SOFTWARE->Microprose registry folder

Had the same problem some days ago. As it turned out, it was some Anti-Virus update again...

curious, i looked up stbof.ini and in bopL directory it is empty... in bop directory it has jibberish (that makes it work:) i'll try reinstalling it again...
