Sry. This thread was started to see if a long epic game could be started . Have not found participants or could not sort out time committtments at this point

Yeah, I know what this thread is about. Thought for a brief moment you talked about another possible match-making platform or mod I haven't heard of.

Sorry to hear you haven't found anyone to play with. Long epic games may not the way to go. For most people our age it's hard to find the time to play games. While bigger maps and epic games are fun, they're hard to complete. People may also feels obliged and forced to do so and just leave. That's bad when already a massive amount of time was invested from all parties.

Not helpful for the community.

I'd re-focus. What worked best were short games on small/mid sized maps. Those games are way more stable and can get finished in brief time, too. Epic, long games are pretty much the queen of all games and may be possible in a flourishing community again. So, my advice is to start small again. Try to get some games going and see where it leads from there.
