Hi everyone,

With the completion of current tournament, I will be taking over setting up and overseeing tournaments.

The idea of the winner hosting next tournament was a good idea, just not practical. :wink:

A winner should be able to defend there title.

I would say we are 3-4 weeks away from sign up regardless of type of tournament.

My thoughts on setting for any tournament;

1 vs 1
t5 though out (quick game play is key)
map size small or medium (could be slightly inlarged with gowron findings :wink: )
no borg or random events
mod? I feel this should change for each tournament.

give me your thoughts,

Hey you hit 1000 :lol:

Definitely have to give the flagship mod a go for the next one.

I think the smaller maps will suit a lot of people better, hopefully it'll cut out a lot of the shilly shallying we had with the last tournament.

i still think there should be t4 in there... Balance of power is the mod i'd try, but from practical point of view tourney mod is the one we should stick with...

no, tournament mod has just been an emergency fix of 1.0.3
the Flagship idea sounds great, and I really would love to have some alternation with mods. Most noobs forfeited anyway and for most of them 1.0.3 doesn't seem to be a difference to any other mod (in part of being a mod).

Let's just choose mod + settings most participating players would like to have.
I'm fine with everything but vanilla or 1.0.3 or "tournament mod" which isn't a real mod by real :lol:

Now it's 5pm here and i have wine in my hand i've woken up :lol:

I meant to say earlier, I think the flagship torney would be a big draw because the object of the game is different.

Instead of obliterating each other's empires you're engaging in a cat and mouse game of trying to seek out and destroy each other's flagships.

whichever mod or tech level.....please ........no randoms :)

I would adapt to any tournament rules you set up. Flagship sounds good. I will adapt to everything as long as I can participate in the next tourney. ^^ I won't quit the games.

I like the idea of a fast tournament with these settings.

but,

I can't connect to wz since one week. tried it maybe 50 and more times. :(
And I dunno why it doesnt work. tried everything. I wrote a pm to _Plotinus, hopefully he can help me. (and hopefully I have the right spelling of his name this time :lol:)

what I can't see/play anymore is the standart vanilla. so a 1.03 maybe would be nice in fact of the many fixes in it. it is is still close to vanilla so hm I dunno. Some new things would be interesting and would keep the tension up.

any ideas?

I don't think _Plotinus does any support of mods.

what is your problem?

I just tested stardust version of All the Ages mod and it shows on my list of availible mods on warzone.

two different things here thunder

1. I cant connect to warzone

2. which mod/ changes of mod

otherwise I had written: I cant change a mod in warzone channel or something like that

edit: thx tc for helping me in fixing this problem, lol I dunno where I had my head... I also wrote _Plotinus a pm to excuse my stupidness :lol:

Too much work to add flagship lol

but have updated flagship mod so when membered or subjagated minors or majors you can build their ships in that system :lol:
