We've stopped now, severenth had to go, now that I'm sitting at his border
We'll continue on saturday as far I understood.

I choosed the Romulans and severenth the Cardassians.
Has been a great game, at least for me, although my 2nd systems were shit this time. One with 145 population and +35 by terraform and the other with 90 population and + 75 by terraform.
First thing I thought is shit, I can't ask for restart.

So we played and I decided I'd better get some better systems. I've been on the right and found the Klingon on the middle bottom. First thought I'd fight him, but then figured the card has made diplomatic contact, so went to the top instead. Found the Ferengi and soon declared war. Used some destroyers to get more money and the ferengi gave me great training targets! :D
By turn 25 the Ferengi Alliance has fallen and my economy grew up.
I've signed peace with the Klingons 12 turns before or something and didn't want to meet the Cardassian yet. In meantime I also found the federation next to the Ferengi and I knew the Cardassian would be behind them.

So I continued building up my fleet and colonized a few systems.
Severenth got affiliated with the Klingons and the Federation, I instead decided to sabotage the Federation and to demand some money from the Klingons. Got about 20k Cr in total, and when 25turn peace treaty with Klingon was over, I declared war at him.

Severenth still kept away, and looking at the statistics I knew why

After conquering the first klingon system, severenth turned up and began to sabotage me. But with above 4000 intel I'm quite prepared myself and not many attacks went through yet.
A few turns later, the Klingon has fallen as well and I'm having 25 systems right now with an awesome fleet.

I've also conquered a federation colony cause severenth got them to declare war on me. Ok, they didn't like me anyway due to all the sabotage.

Half the map is green by now and I'm producing ships en mass, although I'm loosing many credits each turn for supporting them.

It's turn 50 and I think I can tell this game to be won, with my 2 fleets of scouts, 3 fleets of (mostly veteran) destroyer, one fleet of hc, 2 fleets of tts at his border and a few other ships on the way, but we'll see on saturday. 8)

Man, didn't thought it could turn out that well with such bad starting systems.

cheers

p.s. screens will follow when game is finished ;)

edit: had to correct the starting system size, although I fealt like first system only was 100+25 it actually was 145+35.

Hehe, has been a pleasure! :D

We just finished, it's turn 58, severenth doesn't have money anymore and next turn cardassia would have fallen.

We didn't have big fights but some funny minor ones.
This time I'm having some better screens, although I could need an utility for making multiple screenshots without switching to windows.
Luckily the timer pauses when switching to windows.

Turn 51 I took out a cardassian starbase:

Severenth already sent his ships away, but turn after, he prevented me from invading one of his colonies by destroying two tt with two of his cruiser. My 4 hc in same sector vaporized them of course, but couldn't protect the two troop transports.
Therefore I got another federation colony and after builing a shipyard I had range on cardassia.

On cardassia I destroyed another starbase without loosing a single ship and began raiding severenth. I sent my nine remaining tt to cardassia and didn't bother about the six cardassian battleships, three cruisers and five tt flying around.
I saw his 5 tt moving to my space and wanted to catch them with some greens on the way to my fleet. Somehow severenth's 5tt got in fight with a single scout of mine.

Think it was the only fight severenth has won. My little scout rooky set on evading flew straigth into one of his tt.

The turns after I caught all his tt single by single in my space and managed to move my own tt to cardassia. Then severenth gave up, loosing 3000 Credits each turn or more just seemed to be too much for his economy.

So here's what the end looked like:

thx for that delicious match severenth 8) ;)

Even with this very sad loss I would call this game an perfect assimilation.

May da force be with you in your next game. Oops, wrong franchise ;)

May the hive guide you in your next game with the same perfection, Flocke.

(at least this time you don't have to worry about the speaking cloud aka Calamarain)

Thx Krazee, still have some bad memories on that damn calamarain. :P

I wouldn't call this match perfect, but it has been one of my best games for sure, especially regarding the bad starting systems. :D

I warned you flockes, only 2 wins away.

If you are defending champ it would be sad not to defend your Title.

only one spot left in Balance of power tournament  .

P.S. congrats on your victory.

hm, I guess BOP Tourney is not comparable to the actual running, vanilla one.
It's another league, you know ;)

so I guess you have to create a new badge for BOP Multiplayer Champion ;)
(compared to the vanilla badge - something with chocolate or gagh would be nice)
