lol seems that the hive has some lack of communication

IMO, BOP is another league than vanilla. But some ppl (TC?) may have other opinions about that.

edit:
I know that Flocke won't play in this tournament and to prevent difficulties I offered to wesley my place here in BOP tourney.

But, of course, only under the condition that he becomes multiplayer champion in season 2 again. So he would be able to defend his title here in BOP tourney.

Problem solved.

You need wine to run windows programs. I don't know what version ubuntu has, but the latest from the wine repo (1.1.21) lags like hell, the earlier versions worked fine. This could depend on other factors too I guess.

The "c drive" will be put in ~/.wine/drive_c, in case it fails to create shortcuts in the menu. Then just run trek.exe from there.

It is now, This is being done to keep interest in tournaments in general.

I did not expect signup to be completed as quick as it was. so next time signup will start during semi finals of current tounament instead of round 2.
wesley wrote:Flocke and me would have also plaed in this tourney for sure.
Flockes declined entering tournament so he could work on his project.
I messaged you last week on warzone with no reply about BOP tournament. (sorry if you missed message)

As far KrazeeXXL offer to give you his spot,
this is ok as long as it is before his game starts and does not delay tournament.
But same as last tournament if a player does not show, wesley will be first alternete player and can take his place.

right now the rotation of tournaments will be;

flockes tournament mod (next will have edited starting systems for balance)
Balance of Power mod
Ultimate dominion mod
UnCivil wars mod (may change to All the Ages mod)

Each winner will have it own rank til next tournament for that mod.

so next signup will start for UDMIII when balance of power semi finals starts.

Note; If anyone wants PM or e-mail notice when signup starts PM me and I will start a list.

You came up with a nice idea @rotation of mods. So you're clever avoiding the league issue. Sounds awesome for me. And it brings a difference to the tournaments which makes them quite more interesting and kinda fresh. Good job TC.

yea we'll see who will win. the offer is just for the case that you'll win :)

sign-up:
to avoid problems in the future with the sign-up, one place in the bracket should be reserved for the incumbent champion.

By that time round one would be over so giving up your spot would not be allowed

not reserved but will send PM or E-mail to champion of mod so he has time to signup if he wants.

What's all the fuss about?

It was the first 16 to sign up. 16 signed up. The tournament is beginning.

So what's the problem?

This "fuss" as you call it was about fairness, so that a (possible) Multiplayer Champion can defend his title. Nothing more - nothing less. Otherwise we don't need a champion. Don't you agree?

I can't see any after the discussion

I will agree that if the tournament rules calls for the 'first' 16 to sign up and they do, then it is fair.

Everyone had the same chance to sign up. What's not fair about that? Nothing prevented anyone from signing up.

I don't see how a tournament champion from one mod deserves any special consideration in signing up for another tournament of a different mod.

Apples and oranges.

If the tournament champion from one mod happens to win the different mod tournament then good for him but he doesn't deserve special treatment in the sign up process.

Also, say a person wins a UDM3 tournament.

On the next UDM3 tournament I would say he gets an automatic reserved spot for signup.

But he shouldn't get a spot reserved in, say, the BOP tournament. He's free to sign up and win like anyone else.

Just my 2 cents ($ Canadian) worth.

thanks thunder for your explanation.

But mickar it is still not understandable why tournement 3 begins before 2 has ended.

Then sb else start a third and a forth rourny. It doesnt make scence, so easily.

All the people know now we make tourneys here in every possible mod.
And the signup should start with the final, so one week after final it could be startet.

Is it so complicatet when u have a fix starting point with end of sign in?
let us say 25 players wants to play?

cheers...

Thunder,

Pigman and myself have started our game, but due to commitments on both sides, we cannot continue our game until Monday 25th. Can you grant us a week extension? and we will aim to finish before then.

Cheers
