it is a simple code edit
at 0x071132 12 -> 5C
this bypasses the message window and starts first turn of combat before cloaked fleet can selects commands
If human player is a cloaked fleet, AI will "hold" position for first turn (cloaked free turn as normal)
If human player is not a cloaked fleet, human can select commands of hail, evade or retreat.
cloaked vs cloaked AI will always hold while human can select commands of hail, evade or retreat

to make this change you need to edit the trek.exe with a hex editor.

this patch will give advantage to human player only, since AI will not change "hold" command.

Thank you for your help. That worked great.

one more question
there was a spot on the site that had all the info on all the mods but I can not find it?
for example we are playing the UM5 and some how the Klingons now can cloak a bunch of ships. when did that happen?

each mod has a section "Complete Conversions Mods"
viewforum.php?f=24

his last major update was in 2014

with UE you can cloak any ship you want or remove cloak.

In Mirror universe mod every major has a few cloaked ships.
