What do I need to learn?
What resources do I need?

learn what?
how to play botf? yes there is a manual included with the install and am sure you can find it in downloads too
there are also some guides here on the forum
or just keep playing and once the ai becomes too easy try mp ;)

here is a few things you will need

modding game
Hex editor
QD's patcher
UE (ultimate editor)
IDA disassembler

ship building
MultiGen-Paradigm creator
3D max (or other model program)
photoshop
hob convertor

I don't know what you are looking to do, but I have seen your other posts offering to help.
I am still working on Uncivil wars mod and need suggestions for 15 new buildings per major and 3 per minor.

that's a lot of new buildings :grin:
