coming Kelvin, JJ Constitution and proto-Miranda

Post by anjel »

Hi there, i just want to show you how is going these three models, and of course, want critics:

Proto-Miranda
Faces: 775
vertices: 3379

JJ Constitution
faces: 724
vertices: 2806

JJ Kelvin
faces: 526
vertices: 2247

Each and everyone with combined faces in creator, thanks to a thunderchero´s tip, i could make a more complex moddel and then reduce the vertices number.
Now comes one of the most harder part, texturing...

thank you all, please feel free to make any critics you may want to say. And as for the JJprise, i knew there wouldn´t be a nice warming reception, but as i read an old post, that someone wanted the kelvin, i thought it wasn´t too difficult to make, and well, why not the jjprise too, because nobody has done it yet.

Still, once it's finished I'm gonna give a try at the JJ Constitution.

I like the Original Constitution but it needs to be re-textured and I always had problems with the model...it used to crash my games.

I'm also looking for the Kelvin and original Miranda design.....they would be perfect ships for the AA mod.

Thats some fine work coming along anjel!
Do you think starships have industrial window wipers? I mean, a space-bug hitting the viewscreen at warp 5 will make one HELL of a mess!

I don't know why but seeing them in the design stage always makes the ships look more interesting, don't know why but they seem more real. :?

yes, i know what you mean Tutankhaten, when it´s in a design stage, looks that the work goes real, but then you realize how important it´s the texturing, because your design could be as perfect as you can do it, but if the texture doesn´t match with the model, then it is not completly ok, that´s why the texturing take so long.

Still working on those textures of yours? hehehehe

Don't wanna seem to push you, just trying to see if you're still working on the models :)

 yes !!!! don´t worry, still working, i´ve finished texturing the kelvin, i modified some parts of the jjprise yesterday and today i will start texturing. I am anxious too, to see them in the game, but when start texturing you must pay really attention to details, and thats why it take so long.
In a few minutes i will post the kelvin textured, so you people can give some critics if you like it or not, because i´ve used a new texture from 3Dmax.
If you give the GREEN pass, i will use it on jjprise too.
