8O wow, i´ve just seen an image of the regula station, it´s gorgeous and huge, i would like to do it, once i finisk the k7 of course, but i think the next one would be faster, because i´m learning a few tricks and tips with this one.
Another nice station, it´s the one who appears in Star Trek books "Vanguard".

Thats what she said.. lol.. but really, all the Regula is is the Starbase 375 model without the lower pods attached.. or rather the Regula station came first, so SB 375 would be the kitbash.

regula was a 'kitbash' of the ST1:TMP's orbital office complex use upside down (if you consider turning something upside down a kitbash!)

Just like this exampl of how the reliant was gonna look originally (Can't find a colour but there is one somewhere)

LOL , sorry dudes !!!! i´ve made a little mistake in finding images from Regula station, or readding a little bit, because when i wrote "regula class station" in google, i went to the first link, and these appeared

But what i didn´t read, was the name of the space station.... ("Immense"), basically, was early in the morning, yesterday i was awake up late (birthday). :lol: :oops:

That´s why it was odd for me when Tethys said the regula station it is a starbase 375 without the lower pods....

:lol: :lol: :lol:

Sorry :roll:

Ive known about this one for a while. I actually have a mesh of it for 3ds Max that I was planning on rendering some scenes with. And it does postulate a natural advancement and evolution of Starfleet starbase design, would make a very nice tech 14/15 starbase if someone would be willing to take the time to make it (anjel :P)

it has not been converted yet to HOB but is 1732 poly 2 texture. I am not sure how easy it will convert but I will try when I have more time after thanksgiving.

although I found out something new not sure what it is linked (I guess ship type) to but when model was listed as an outpost it had different lighting applied to model (full light no shadows).

this is with normal ship lighting.

here is an example;

left normal ship lighting
right outpost lighting

Whichever one is in the first pic looks the best. Im guessing thats normal ship lighting, which would probably be more appropriate, being with shadows ;)

Besides, one doesnt want a fully lit station pointing out all the jagged edges where a nice shadow would cover that up lol
