TOS Pack update

Post by robert_defore »

Im stuck in hospital for two weeks will finish work as soon as my laptop gets here.
8)j. Sry im using my phone to post this but work is going nicely and vertex numbers are are comming way down.

Milkshape supposedly allows you to import hobs but it fails when I try anyone ever get it to work?

Ok updated TOS ship packs will be located in the "RD's Eras' Ship Pack" Thread for easy location and download

what are you trying to do with milkshape importer? I have used it but has very little value to import hob files.

1. it will only import the first texture.

2. it will still have all slices (extra polygons created during conversion)

lol, i don´t have any inconvenient to send you all the models i´ve made. If you want i´ll zip each one with textures and upload to 4shared in .3ds or .max ???

Awesome, just trying to wrap my head around which parts need a detailed mesh and which just need a texture. I don't want simple boxes like the origional in game models but like ruthless said, they must be playable also.

aaaaahh, there is where i told you this is an almost piece of art, because you have to think what suits better and where, maybe you have a low poly ships, that doesn´t look good without texture, but then the texture changres everything. Tc thougth me a lot, he made a lot of good ships with nice textures, like the last intrepid, SC-4 shuttlecraft and a romulan ship.
Keep on that enthusiasm !!!!

(of topic) I was watching 'Wrath of Kahn' with my brother two nights ago -- because we have seen it so many times we thought we'd try watching it with the french sound track. (Don't ask why!)

Any way we were approching, and anticipating the famous "KHAAAAAANNNN!" scream from Captain Kirk -- but in french the voice over artist didn't really get into it. Massivly dissapointing 'Khaann!'

   my god, i have to hear that in french !!! lol
What a pity you´ve lost the data Robert_Defore. But you´ll see that redoing some meshes will result in a much more detailed than the previous, because you now know how to make it fast and where to add some details without compromising the poly count.
I´m really glad to hear you are well and out the hospital, keep going on recovering !!!! :D.
Tell me if you need something :D
