new Animations from Suns
Hey Communety
In a last Days i am Creating new Animations from Suns. I hope the .ani Files are good for the Communety. Have fun with this Animations.

As for the ones in combat these are hob files/gif files and would be much harder to create. (not impossible) but the rotation is even faster and it is unknown how to adjust speed.

This seems to only work on cursors. The delays for ani's are ignored by botf and must be elsewhere - either trek.exe or maybe the wdf files.thunderchero wrote:note; to see change of speed, type in delay you want then use arrow up then arrow down.
Adding more frames is the only option atm.
Other things that could use improving:
Some animations are not 100x100 in size which causes them to be cut off (see AFC's image), Quintaine you should make them a bit smaller so they all fit into 100x100 pixels.
Some animations are showing a black square. This is caused by the black color not being the same around the star and so it isn't treated as transparent. It's very noticeable.
Other than that the animations are very nice.
mmm... interesting, how is that ??? is there any post around to look for ????, i´ve always thougth it would nice to have better suns in combat, like the ones in bridge commander or legacy (i know... just a dream) and nebulas too.thunderchero wrote: As for the ones in combat these are hob files/gif files and would be much harder to create. First I want to thank Quintaine for starting this project. I hope this meets to your approval.
I have added some files for the suns during combat. Credit for these would still go to Quintaine since all my edited file were based on his files.
I also edited his ani files to resize and slow down rotation. As suggested above.

to add file;
all ani files can just be added after un-raring file.

If adding to unedited vanilla. just add all files in combat folder
if adding to any edited version do not add palette.lst and texture.lst required registering new texture and setting all others to use own palette. and setting all sun hob files to correct gifs.

solarg.hob - sg_b1.gif, sg_b2.gif, sg_b3.gif, sg_b4.gif

I really like the combat ones, there should be a way to scale them larger/smaller if im not mistaken. definitely download worthy
EDIT: TC if you would do my a good favor, could you take 2 of the suns and make them into 1 hob as a model? is this possible? or can u add 2 different sun gifs to 1 hob? =)

and yes again while I have not edited the hob files. I did switch hob files the files I used was from the wormhole hob and it uses an area of 128 x 64 so with some editing of the gif files it is possible.
