Re: Universal 1920 x 1080
did you get it working?
Re: Universal 1920 x 1080
Partly
I deleted and reinstallt UDM and the universal patch two times now. The "normal" version now is working. On the large version the old problem is gone but i got a new problem instead. The names of the systems are displayed wrong (wrong place and so tiny you just cant read them). I took two screenshots

are you trying to use a saved game? when changing resolution you must start new game. also dominion saves will only work on 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768.
text will be very small but don't understand the error in images.
you can try to run QD's res patcher to see if it corrects problem

Re: Universal 1920 x 1080
for some reason your system is not installing 1080 patch properly.
there are so many possibilities
1. you are closing command prompt before it completes editing trek.exe
2. temp folder is closing early
3. anti virus program interfering with installer
I could go on but no point

Re: Universal 1920 x 1080
Hi Everyone,
I took a quick look at this patch. I have already done some minor adjustments such as removed ECML since large version no longer part of ECM, added newer/quicker files for res compression/adding and installer no longer displays command prompts (changed version not released).
but as far as coverage it already covers the major mods (vanilla, BOP, ECM, UDM, UM5-1024, AAM, UCW, Galaxy, FMPM)
most mods currently available in All in One could be added and but would increase download size by maybe 100% or more (current patch is 123mb) since just a single 1920 x 1080 tga file is almost 6mb each but they do compress very well
I was a little surprised how many downloads this patch has gotten since it's release back in mid March (557 downloads) it is not a lot but more than I expected.
So I don't plan on adding this patch to All in One, but it could use an update.
so I will ask if we have any requests for additional coverage.

Re: Universal 1920 x 1080 (updated 12-3-2016)
I am having a problem with this patch. Here's what's happening:
When I start a new game the GUI extends beyond the borders of 1920 x 1080. The "TURN" button is not very visible, the map coordinates are not visible, and the tooltips are not visible.
Let me know if you need more info.

when installing mod you must install 800 x 600 version before applying this patch.Chaelvin wrote:Let me know if you need more info.
does your monitor support 1920 x 1080?
If your current desktop is 1920 x 1080 you must use fullscreen.
what mod was this patch applied to?
post a screenshot of error.

Re: Universal 1920 x 1080 (updated 12-3-2016)
I have installed the 800 x 600 and the 1024 versions prior to applying the patch.
my monitor supports 1920 x 1080. I run my native environment in 1980 x1200.
It was applied to AAM, AAML, BOP, BOPL, and Prime Directive all with the same result.
Here is the screenshot, but it does not look like this on my monitor. About 15% of the edge of the border is missing from the view on my monitor as compared to what has been captured. I can't attach the 1.63 MB picture as it says it's too large? ... In any case the screen shot is similar to previous pictures on this post from other people.
Also, I can't open old games and always have to start a new game.

Re: Universal 1920 x 1080 (updated 12-3-2016)
this may explain your issuesChaelvin wrote:Also, I can't open old games and always have to start a new game.
right click and run 1920 x 1080 patch installer as administrator.
as for loading/saving games right click the trek.exe in install path (each installed version) select properties in comparability tab and run as administrator.
this is a universal GUI it has no borders, if it looks like this that is normal note on attachments; the recent update reset max size to default and has been set to 1 mb max.Chaelvin wrote:In any case the screen shot is similar to previous pictures on this post from other people.

I always run the 1080 patch as an administrator.
This first screenshot is what my computer thinks it sees:
The second edited screenshot is one that I cropped to show you what I am actually seeing when i play the game:

Actually I seem to have resolved this issue by running the game in a Windowed environment rather than a full screen environment by changing the setting in DXWND.
