hd_warp.wdf not correctly displayed due to hd_scrn.tga error

Hi,

as there is no updated version available for my beloved Multi-BotF Installer (GerEng) that i play with 1366x768 patch i had to fix the "Federation DiploScreen Bug" myself - 95% is working - but i cant get "hd_warp.wdf" to correctly show ingame.

UE shows the file is in stbof.res - also shows correct fit

when i insert it into UE no errors show - when i save it and start the game then i see this

when i simply rename stbof.res into zip - add my files, rename to res and run i get this crash.log

i found another user with the same problem - but there was no solution

here is hd_scrn.tga in UE 0.8 - that patches the file in - but i get same crash.log

mh, when i change "hd_bkwar.tga" to 793x445 i dont get a crash - but error persists

i also noticed: "Bribe" ("Bitte" in nah-ish translated german) loads the same wrong tga

so i guess when it is loading the "enemy" button it makes fun stuff - but actually it shouldnt load enemy button at all when using "Bribe" - so i guess here is the main root of the problem ;)

While I didn't do any UI editing yet, you should not rename the stbof.res file to zip, cause modern zip tools don't preserve the botf compression algorithm. Instead use UE to add files to stbof.res.

FIXED IT ;)

i know about the zip-issue- it was of pure desperation xD
main problem is that UE thinks "hd_warp.wdf" has "hd_bkwar.tga" as background - but actually i could fix it with replacing bckgrnd to "hd_bkbri.tga"

now i only had to edit hd_bkbri.tga to fit 1366x768

now everything works fine ;)

If you want you can add this to your 1366x768 Mods for your BotF All ine One 2.0.0 - as those also have the Federation Diplo Bug
