first the mss32.dll has nothing to do with energy screen patch. the mss32.dll is a sound dll and part of the normal install.

As for using the energy screen patch;

before you start you need to extract all 5 energy screen wdf and place them in an empty folder, (csenergy.wdf. fsenergy.wdf. hsenergy.wdf. ksenergy.wdf. rsenergy.wdf)
next create a new empty folder for edited wdf files.
then open the energy_patch.exe
locate the trek.exe to edit
locate the folder with vanilla wdf's (ECM in your case)
locate the empty folder for new wdf's
set how many special and defense objects
run tool by selecting "patch exe" and then select "patch wdf"
close energy_patch.exe
copy trek.exe to your install (if moved)
use UE to add the new/edited wdf's to stbof.res

next is the tricky part you need to adjust spacing of all the objects and text boxes in all 5 wdf screens. this can be done with UE or QD's wdfeditor.
EDIT; here are some *senergy.wdf files with objects already re-positioned, just add extracted files to stbof.res with UE

special thanks for your help. I did exactly as you described it before I posted here in this forum, but this answers from you are interest for me:

I make a only German mod for me ;). And ECM, UE, Energy_Patch.exe are english. I think that is my problem that Trek.exe chrashed.


I have copy your files in my Mod and when i make a new game, are crashed. :( hmmpf.

PS: Thanks to you that you writen in easy english for me. My english is not so good :(.

this is starting to sound like a duplicate install? are you editing the trek.exe in place (in install folder)?

The only reason you should get "mss32 is missing" is if it is not in same folder as trek.exe you are executing.

I just tested on german install of ECM and attached files and worked without issues.

Thank you for your help. I have a suspicion why it is. Can you please tell me what UE and Java version you use?

its working now. My Problem was an older Version from Java Runtime.

For all Modders with the same Problem:

UE 0.7.2dev5c/Run perfekt with Java 64 Bit and Version 8 Update 151

PS: I am so happy. :grin:
