Well what can I add to that..... 8O

I had the choice as the unseeded player and choose t5 small many irreg imposs and cards - Yes I know very bad choice on the map size :x

I had two great extra systems both being over 350 but no dilithium, even so thought I could have a go... How wrong was I

As Dizzy said we met very early and was I shocked to see how many ships he had already 8O Very impressive - I didn't know that was possible!! (so wished he was on the opposite side of the map)

I hadn't met anyone else at this stage so with no extra money able to obtain from AI I just tried to set all my planets to build ships and quick but I was always fighting a loosing battle...

Turn 7 came and Dissy's fleet pounced onto cardassia with my 3 HC's waiting - I had no chance and with 2 turns of battle and it was all over.

On turn 10 we had a minor battle when the game crashed and I had to then admit that it was all over as I had no way back with his fleet sitting above me and raiding my systems. GAME OVER!!!

I've gotta say thanks to Dissy for giving me one hell of a lesson on how to destroy your opponents quickly and best of luck in the rest of your matches :)

Also want to say a quick good luck to Pigman too in my group - I apologise for not writing up a match report about our game last weekend - bit of a noob thing as first tournament
More practice required

Chris vs Jigalypuff Report:

Jig chose a T5 medium, and took Feds. I took Roms.

Few restarts to get similar systems then off we went.

The game lasted about 50 ish turns in total. Ferg was right below me, but wouldn't accept demands - so i conquered them around turn 30 ish, and a few minors (ktaria, angosia, selay, mintakans, tamarians).

Then I found Fed to my right, who did not have much dil, and was obviously focusing on obtaining some and getting some minors.

Final battle is shown below. In total I had about 30 BCs scattered around, with lots of scrapping going on allowing me to purchase 1 BC per turn. I was also researching the BC2, but I didn't end up needing it.

Jig conceded around this time. Thanks for the game mate and gl with your next group games.

No need to apologize, as I'm not so sure it's obligatory for both players (or even one neccessarily) to write up the game.

It's just kinda nice, as some people like reading them (maybe just to suss out your tactics and style of play) and maybe just for fun.

BTW, I too, was shocked at the speed that pro players build ships when I first started playing in here. Really is one of the most important parts of game, as so many games end after the big battle, with loser conceding the whole game.

Hi RSE_Chris & jigalypuff

A congratz to RSE_Chris & commiz to jigalypuff, but again well done for getting on with your games.

Proves the naysayers wrong, as the tourney's taking shape now and we're all having fun.

Regards

Sorry to hear that Sev,

As a result Trevtones will now be included as the first reserve and joins the group in Sev's place.

With the time schedule we've got, how late do we leave it before a reserve takes Tum and AbunaiAite's places?

I've tried to PM AbunaiAite and got no response, plus he's not been seen for a while.

If they're keen to play, that's fine, but would just like to know how long they've got to show up.

As we have not been running for a week yet i think we should hold tight and just continue. However if anyone has not heard from an opponent by the end of the second week we will address the matter then.

I guess that they are just Bots who are sent by afc just to keep the tournaments up & running

someone should calculate them into the formula to keep the game balanced or all the discussion about fairness in the past was senseless ;)

Hey group D opponents. Let me know when the best time/day is for you. West coast Canada, so 8 hrs behind those on the rock across the pond.

btw, it's my birthday today so would appreciate cash gifts. I request cash as at my advanced age Viagra is quite expensive, so don't be cheap.

Good going Trev - hopefully the few games you've been having will payoff in the tourney. :)
