Merry Christmas (we have presents)

Post by thunderchero »

Hi Everyone,

Santa had some help from some of the members here and we have presents for everyone. :D

first off here is the big surprise. Flocke has been working hard to create a replacement graphic engine for BOTF.

and here is the latest test version

file no longer available

more info will follow by Flocke

Next here is the latest version of UDM 3.0.1d
this file has the 1024 x 768 and MPR++ already part of the installer. There is still more work to do on this version but thought everyone would like a test version.

This is full version no other patches needed.

You must uninstall version c before running new installer

file no longer available
The following files are 1024 x 768 patches for multi main installer and some mods (if listed)

Note; these installers have no uninstaller. And will read the original install path for the mod listed.

Note 2; some system may have video card driver issues using 1024 x 768 patches but if MPR++ installer is applied this should resolve most problems

You must have main multi installer and the mod already installed before running these patches.

files no longer available

Also Anjel has released his new model The Immense Station ship pack

The Immense Station ship pack

Here is a new ship model I created for tethys and Galaxies mod

The Federation Peregrine Strike Fighter

I hope everyone has a very merry Christmas

(there could be more added later)

Merry Xmas from me, too :!:
Hope you all enjoy what we've achieved and hope it brings back some more life to our community.
Botf is a great game and with all the research, bugfixes, patches, tools, mods, ships, graphics and all your enthusiasm for this old game I'm sure together we can honor botf for many ongoing years.
It has it's flaws but that can be worked on, and hopefully will be, though speaking for myself, I've to cut back my efforts a bit.
So please don't expect any wonders, we all try our best but Botf like any other game is just a game and we all have our lifes, too.

to not flood with bugs and short this post, mpr++ now also has an own topic here:
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2350

Wish you much fun and hope all works fine! :D

I said it wouldn't install, not download. It downloads fine. How will a download manager help me here? >.<

You stated while installing you get corupt file message so your download was corupted during download. a download manager will help prevent this.

Army37 wrote:There is no problems with the unmodded vanilla version....it works fine....can access the ships menu whenever I want...no crash.
Please can you test other mods with mpr++ installed and not installed to see whether it is mpr++ related or 1024 resolution related?
Army37 wrote:It seems so far that the only crash occur when I try to access the Ships menu on UDM 3 before playing a turn....same thing happens when I load a saved game and try the menu...trek.exe stop working....I have to play at least a whole turn and on the next turn, I have no problems to access the ships menu.
That's very interesting, Tethys please can you check if it's same for you?
Army37 wrote:As for the 32 bits compatibility...I don't see that in the shortcut settings....there is no checkmarks in compatibility mode nor there is a 32 bits menu to be selected. The Settings menu is all blank as well.
Ok, have no 64bit Windows, was only a guess, but might be the issue is 64bit related.
