Why Does My Side Withdraw A Treaty (Twice)?
I have an issue that keeps happening and I am not sure the reason. I have noticed some times I offer a minor race a treaty (any) and the next move my side withdraws that treaty. I didn't cancel it and it always is double listed like: Romulans withdraw friendship for X (on two lines).
I haven't figured out why this happens and what I can do about it. The other race isn't affiliated or a member of any one. I have even had this happen when said race is at full worship status (no more bars up) and I give the max credits allowed.

I have no idea why it does the double entry, but most of the time when you see a proposal withdrawn it is due to some other race has signed an agreement with the race you had proposal. this could be any thing from friendship to war pact.

Well it would have to be a war pact because the race shows Neutral for all major powers on the relationship screen.

Re: Why Does My Side Withdraw A Treaty (Twice)?
It probably appears twice because you might have proposed it two turns in a row; it takes two turns for them to accept or reject.
The likeliest scenario is that the said minor just got conquered; but you said they show as neutral so i don't know maybe they got wiped in the conquest.

Re: Why Does My Side Withdraw A Treaty (Twice)?
I do realize it takes two turns for a reply. However I still can't figure out the request other than a war pact. For like 50 turns the minor is neutral to all major powers. Isn't conquered, affiliated, friendshiped, etc but just neutral period. There is no base in their space. I have gotten the power to 100% full bars (full Worship status) yet my side withdraws any treaty immediately sent to that minor.
I honestly just don't understand short of maybe a war pact. I am thinking next time I have the game open I will see if I can make a request to them so I can note what happens. It is odd.

Re: Why Does My Side Withdraw A Treaty (Twice)?
I will add I know and understand when the minor is conquered or affiliated I realize my side would withdraw the treaty automatically. I know that happens for members when a minor is conquered. However as stated this minor only has neutral status and that is the way it has been for 50+ turns (that's when I located their system).
Again it must be a war pact; against me perhaps. Still I am not 100% sure.

at some point the Tamarians were subjugated by some race and they rebelled.
there is a fix for this but does not work on saved games.
QD patcher patch "Minor race rebelled / message withdrawn Bugfix"
viewtopic.php?f=242&t=1082
but there is a manual fix of saved game. here is edited saved game

Re: Why Does My Side Withdraw A Treaty (Twice)?
Thanks TC!
I'll do that as I have seen this bug before and scratched my head going what the heck?!
I am wondering if UE could be used to clear the minor's conquered status. I don't have any of these files on this workstation as I play BoTF using an old laptop. So I'll have to test this stuff next time I am on that system.
