never seen that driver issue, but win 8 has all kinds of them...

your best bet for UM5 on windows 8 is DxWnd

it will allow windowed mode, but can also be set to display full screen.

it works some tourns after this games crash...but for me its ok, so i dont play a day long ;-)

Thanks to a nudge in the back by thunder, work has begun on adapting UM5 to 1024x768. It's a work in progress, but it's on its way...

Hello All

Just want to say great work on this Mod I am enjoying it!

I've been looking forward to incorporating the minor races ships into my fleets however after playing a game and obtaining the Membership of The Orions I can't seem to build their Raider ships is there a reason for this or do I have to trigger something?

Does this apply to all minor races with ships?

Any help would be much appreciated

minors advance at a different rate and your tech level might not have have any effect (depending on code used). I am not sure about this mod, but some mods you should not member until the minor starts building ships to be sure you will be able to build them (minors may not advance in tech levels after they are membered).

I will start a new game and allow the minors with ships to start building them before membership

Would be great if the Xindi and Gorn ships were on this but can't complain about the amount of work you guys put in....fantastic

Hi everybody,

I used now the Mod 5 v2.4 and except for a few glitches (mouse doesn't work for some clicks - restarting) everything is working like a charm. Looking forward for new content for the Romulans, Klingons and Cardassians.
Thank you very, very much for the whole bunch of new buildings and ships!!!

I installed this mod using the installer. When i try to start it, nothing happens. double click shortcut, nothing happens. i tried putting compatibility to win95, still nothing. i can run original game just fine. i have windows 10

main multi installer must be installed first before any mod.

cd version does not create backups for mod installation.

Can't wait for the 1024 version. I'm new to the scene. I only downloaded the mod the other day. I played the hell out of BoTF back int he day and It still has it. I've spent so many hours already playing again. Love that there's a community out there keeping it relevant.

So I'm noticing an issue with the MPR++ version of the mod. I'm getting frequent freeze-ups/CTD's when playing as the Klingons & Romulans for whatever reason.

I've not run into the problem playing as the other three nations so far (although perhaps that's just been dumb luck), and I didn't notice this issue in the original version of UM5 (nor after the 2.4 update), so my first guess is that it has to do with the MPR++ conversion somehow. I'm no modder, though, so I might well be talking out of my ass. :???:
