Improved the code for homesystems placement, so that homesystems will not spawn adjacent to each other.
This was only implemented for Homesystems set to Random; I'll implement it for Canon too, soon.

Had to redo the Ion Storm extension code, it's a bit poor(er) atm but I'll improve it when I get the time.

I fixed the issue where the game would crash if you would start a game with the Borg disabled and then retire and start a new game with them enabled.

While improving the code for the Ion Storms, I found (and fixed) a bug which could affect the AI, namely exploration and colonization. It's looking better, and as soon as I'm minimally happy with it I'll upload a new build.

Ok, so I'll probably elease a new build this monday, it's about time!
I need a few things though, hopefully someone here can help me with.

The Kazon building (Defence Post) needs to be renamed and we need a new description for it. The current bonus is not used/implemented, and the Kazon are now a Raider civ. So we need a new name and a description to match a building that provides a +PercentRaiding bonus.

Same thing for the Orions, which are also a Raider civ. We need a rewrite/adjustment to the Orion Syndicate building, to reflect the +PercentRaiding bonus.

If someone wants to tackle this, it'd be great! Post ideas here, or send me a PM, or whatever is most convenient.
Thanks in advance!

I'm up to Turn 212 - Federation.

Combat won't resolve - not sure where the save files are and/or since its not crashing no log generated.

Will try the new release when its released on Monday see if this sorts it.

Saves in Win7 are located in something like this:

C:\Users\xxxxxxx\AppData\Local\Star Trek Supremacy\Saved Games

Anything noteworthy about the combat in particular, like different civs in the opposing side, and any alignments/treaties with some of them?

A new release is up!

Combat is with Romulans - with Klingon scout ship as allies. In a system I own.

Feds and Klings vs Roms in a Fed system. Was one of the sides wiped out, or would have been (most likely) if the hang wouldn't hang?

This was an SP game, correct? When you pressed Hail, the game hanged?
Noone was at war with anyone else, so by default they Hailed too?
Will look into it. Thanks!

Oops, I re-uploaded yesterday's release by accident, when trying to upload a possible fix for the retreat crash...

If you would like to test the fix, download the 20180206code.zip file (same place) and unzip it to the main folder of the game. It does not include the Resources folder, so it's a rather small download.
Feedback is most welcome, I'd really like to know if this helps, so I can integrate it into the next release.
Thanks!

The fix wasn't working, so I took it down.

\Tables (GameOptionsTables.txt , UniverseTables.txt)

\Images (\GeneralEvents , \Insignias , \Stars)

Thats correct. The February release did not help with the issue.

I can give you my save file if you want?

Fixed an issue with Entrenchment update, still need to tweak build rate.
Ships now store the original design's owner, so that say, any Troop Transports built in Angosia use the Angosian's combat strength and not the controlling empire's, when they're members of an empire.
Added combat morale for defeats but it's just a test for now.
Working on minor race homesystem placement for Canon.
Will start working on implementing war weariness next, and diplomatic impact of having fleets in foreign territory without open borders or alliance treaties.
