Re: "False positives" from Anti-virus software
Hi Everyone,
It looks like it has started again,
Avast has flagged the "gen.mpr" file from BOTF.
This file is not malware.
Here is the latest scan from www.virustotal.com
https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/f43a ... 373904751/
if any other Anti virus software flags this file please post it here.
BTW from this report Avast maybe no longer flagging this file? so you might just need to update your anti virus definitions.

Microsoft security essentials does not pick it up either

Re: "False positives" from Anti-virus software
My A/V (Webroot SecureAnywhere) doesn't identify BotF or any of the mods as a threat. However the game won't load if SecureAnywhere is running. BotF will just go black screen and sit there doing nothing. Once the A/V scanner is disabled BotF loads fine. Go figure. I am not sure what BotF is trying to do that SecureAnywhere blocks but at least it knows BotF isn't a virus.

Re: "False positives" from Anti-virus software
what file? was this during install?
did you report as false positive to F-Secure?
did you report as false positive to F-Secure?
Re: "False positives" from Anti-virus software
Multi_1080_installer.exe, the universal 1920x1080 resolution patch file, and no, it/they just was there, in folders, I reported it.
Though, I got some info on how to use my antivirus software when I called there, when these are an issue, I can restore them with the program (It's kinda smart actually). GO Finland!

Re: "False positives" from Anti-virus software
They have identified the file as false positive at F-secure.
They wrote :
Greetings,
Thank you for your submission.
Our analysis indicated that the file you submitted is clean.
We have identified the issue as a False Positive, which will be resolved automatically via F-Secure's Security Cloud (otherwise known as ORSP).

Re: "False positives" from Anti-virus software
Kaspersky Total Security 19 is still detecting Universal 1920 x 1080 as infected. I can't submit the file through their regular process as they only allow files under 25 mb. If someone knows how to submit this file as a false positive please let me know.
Of course, Kaspersky is claiming the Crash Reporter from Steam: Conan Exiles is also infected and deleted after the last update.

Re: "False positives" from Anti-virus software
I saw no way on there website, so you would need to contact Kaspersky Total Security 19 to ask them how to submit larger files.
Re: "False positives" from Anti-virus software
This one false positive i gave the F-secure had to be submitted through the Windows explorer, I put the requested large file adress in the bar above and uploaded the file, afterwards, after giving the text file of the filename for F-secure I got the appropriate answer.
