Hi Everyone,

this topic is for your suggestions and error of current version of UE (UE 0.7.2dev5c).

here are a few to get list started
1. new code for building structures above tech 10
2. setting starting structures tech levels above tech 9
3. proper setting of upgrade list when fewer than 8 main structure upgrades.

One update could include larger area for graphics (WDF) editing, I mean 4K is a little bit difficult to edit when the shown area is 2000 X 2000 pixels,
right and the most bottom sides of the screen are edited blindly, you always have to calculate the positions in order to get things in right positions.

WDF editor is much better to use when creating GUI changes

Weell, it dasnt work at all...
The WDF editor I mean, it stops working after you've picked some of the larger files.

This is the first I have heard of this issue, you should make a complete and detailed error report in wdf topic.

note; it might help if you could provided some sample files to reproduce error.
from your description it sounds like a memory limit issue but I could be wrong.

The files I tried were universal 1920 X 1080 cdiplomt.wdf and hdiplomt.wdf patched to 3840 X 2160, I remember having tried this program before, but the problem was similar, bigger ones never opened, program stopped working, AND if I tried modifying the smaller ones, response was the same, program stopped working.
So, I think it is this latter one, a memory limit issue then.
Dunno how to solve it though.

I just did a quick test of wdfedit and it worked without any issues on larger images.

here is what I did on vanilla 1080 files,

1. extracted "all" wdf and tga files from stbof.res to new folder (this is important to have all tga's and all wdf's files in same folder as wdfedit.exe)
2. created 4 larger main images to 3840 x 2160 and renamed images properly
3. opened corresponding wdf file used by larger image i just created.

Back to your request for enhancement, could you provide an screenshot of how large you can get? I am not seeing a max limit so I think it may use % of screen/window?

This is what UE shows me, as you can see, it leaves out the right side and lower end of screen when editing 4K.

interesting, have you set the trek.exe for new resolution?

I have not upgraded to 4k so testing is tough for me, but UE and 1080 will give me scroll up - down and left - right

your example issue is 4/5 ratio like it is a fixed size. And window area not able to scroll.

so I don't understand why this is happening

it was 2560 x 2048 max in a file I did not expect. :???:
